Sorry not helping, hmmm does sound like a strange problem, does the auto box work out when to change gear etc through the ecu? so it would worth be re-setting it to see what happens? to reset the ecu pull the 2 efi fuses for a minute out of the fuse box in the engine bay, I think they are both green 10A fuses. Tom Posted March 17, 2005 Share Posted March 17, 2005 You could also check for fault codes in the diagnotics port in the engine bay, all you need is a paper clip! I think there's a thread on here on how to do it, but basically you need the put your key and turn it so that just the electrics come on, then open the box(diagnostics) in the engine bay and complete the circuit with the paper clip from E1 to TE1 then look at the flashing engine light next to the 2 oil lights on the RHS of your dash, if it's a continuous pulsing then there are no faults that the ecu has saved but if the pulsing is not continous then the ecu has saved 1 or more fault codes, have a look here, http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/article.php?a=28 Might not bring up any faults to do with the auto but it can't do any harm checking.
