Ian C Posted March 18, 2002 Share Posted March 18, 2002 As an update to all - I just found the cause of my electrical problems and fixed it. An earth point, buried under the intake manifold and an engine wiring loom, had become disconnected totally (bolt was nowhere to be seen). One new bolt later, she started first time. I'm a happy bunny, and I know rather more than I used to about MkIV electrics and electrical diagnosis in general. My thanks to all who assisted on this forum, and credit must go to Mr. Peter Betts, esq. who performed above & beyond the call of duty in reading and replying to my behemoth emails, pointing me in the right direction, and answering my questions.
