Babe
Excuse my ignorance , not into computer games, but this is for The Sprog... Sprog has saved up for a Wii and the 'bits' that go with it. She would like:- console Wii Fit and balance board steering wheel, pedals and driving game(s) an extra controller (so she has one for her and one for a mate?) (makes no sense to me, hope it does to you). Been looking on e-bay etc and have no idea what a good price is. This is type of thing going, for about £320, but includes some bits she may not actually want:- EDIT: Link won't paste... Package includes Nintendo Wii Console Wii Sports (50 Games) Wii Fit & Balance Board (40 Activities) Wii Play (9 Games) 2 Wii Remote Controllers 2 Nunchucks Full 12 Month Nintendo Warranty All items are brand new, unopened / sealed and UK Nintendo Versions (not imports or 3rd party products). Is she best getting the console separately then buying all the gadgets? Can see the Wii fit and balance board goes for about £90, but can't seem to find a console, never mind the steering wheel and pedals! She wants to get it before the xmas madness begins. Any help gratefully received!
DamanC
The package you have listed is an ideal starter. I'd go for that and then if she really wants the steering wheel you can add it at a later date
mathew
my sister bought the same sorta package. she hasnt used it yet though becuase i wont stop playing it:D
MrRalphMan
It's a good package, just not the best deal. Goto http://www.play.co.uk Get the following. Console nunchuk Wii Play (Comes with controller) Wii Fit - You should be able to find in shops for £70 now. That will save you a little bit (£30), as long as you can find Wii Fit in a shop. Smyths in Becton London have loads, but doesn't really help does it..
PJ
Steering wheel can be picked up from Asda for a tenner, but it's not with pedals and all that.
MrRalphMan
It's normally just an adaptor that you put the controller into. You can use the controller to steer during racing games as well.
Babe
Thanks for that, will have a look at Play.co.uk too. Just to throw a spanner in the works, mother informs me today she is buying Wii console, Wii Fit and balance board for Sprog, and my nephew, and herself... any ideas if anyone does deals for buying 3x all of them? MrRalphMan
I doubt it, but might be worth popping into a shop and seing if they will do a deal.. That's £900 worth of kit... They might throw something in for free.....
Matt H
Babe, so you are aware, Wii play comes with an extra controller thrown in. The only driving game she is going to want is Mario Kart, nothing else is really in the same genre for your little one. Wii sports is thrown in with every console anyway, but it certainly doesnt have 50 games!! lol, theres bowling, tennis, golf, baseball and boxing. thats 5! the £320 is the price you would pay for all that seperatly anyway. You dont want pedals, there pointless. Steering wheels are a dime a dozen from game places, you dont need the offical ones, you can pick the 3rd party ones up for a few quid. Try gamestation for that or HMV, good selection. P.s, i've found tesco to be the best for prices bar none, better than online places like amazon for new stuff. HMV always has great bundle deals on too, so give them a go before you spend. At least you know your getting what you pay for from the high street and its there in your hand when you pay unlike ebay and the likes If i was in your position i'd hit tescos and hmv, see what they can do for all that thrown in, HMV usually has at least a few package deals anyway, for a grands worth i'm sure they can work something out with you

Pot
When're you down my way next?... I've got a Wii, with Wii sports (Free anyway with every Wii), a Wii fit, and a few games... If you want, I'm more than happy to let Sprog have a go on mine to see what she likes?...

Think Sprog has had a go on her step-sisters and that's why she has the sudden interest in one - wasn't bothered before!
