help needed please

ive got a new phone, takes a micro sd card.So ive loaded some music on it and all looks cool when viewing the card on the pc(albums are all there as expected, tracks there as well in the correct play order)

but when the card is in the phone it lists the tracks in alphabetical order and plays them this way.this really buggs me,is there a way round this?

cheers for any help

its a samsung tocco

yes i know i can make play lists but looks like i have to do that on the phone, and it takes a fair bit of time compared to just drag n dropping albums,

the play lists have to be list in the reverse of how you want the played aswell just to throw a spanner in the works

Can't you just put each album in a separate folder and name the songs "01 - Whatever", "02 - Whatever" to maintain the correct order alphabetically? My E51 is fine with that. Same OS as the N95 (S60 3rd fp1).

d'oh. for some reason I thought you said you had an N95! Try it anyway.

If it's not ordering them on filename, it must be ordering them on the "title" or "track" tag in the id3 tags.

Use an id3 tag editor such as Mp3Tag and check that they all have the correct "track" tag.

If that doesn't work, you could just prefix the title with the track number!

I used PC Studio that came with it, I haven't used an SD card on mine but when loading onto the phone memory with PCS it all goes on in alphabetical order as well. I just added them all to a playlist and they come up in the widget player in random order.

I did have to rename a few and reload them as well cos of the id3 tags, some were called "#02" and stuff rather than the name of the song!!
