supraspeed
just wondering has anyone tried putting an m3 lump in their supe (the 3.2 from the 98> M3 EVO) cos wouldn't the pure power of that engine and some tubbies give it massive power... or is the M3 engine not that good at handling all that power? tooquicktostop
It would be VERY expensive to make it all fit and work for the gain in power over a single turbo 2JZ if any ?
supraspeed
Blasphemy i know i speak from a dark and forbidden place but it would be interesting to see the power figures

JustGav
Bit pointless really, bear in mind that they put the 2jz into the e36. Thing is, there are better bmw engines than the m3 lump which would be better... something like the new m5 engine would be interesting

supraspeed
i could go one step towards the dark side further and get some dark shades, hands free ear-piece, buisness suit and swap the supe for a convertable M3.......
tooquicktostop
the other way round maybe http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=275575 still cant stop it being driven by a BMW owner however http://video.aol.com/video-detail/bmw-m3-e30-2jz-supra-engine/3560577524 Edited August 11, 2008 by tooquicktostop (see edit history)
Tricky-Ricky
They will only make similar power to the 2JZ if you bung a bigish turbo on them, i know somebody who has done it.
n boost
2 jay-zee all the way man and why for the love of god would u want to put that in. The 3.2 has dual vanos and is a 2k fix and seems to be a common problem with them. Also they dont have much low down torque and u need to ring its neck to get the best outof them. M5 also has dual vanos and is a $$$ fix again so best to stay with jap me thinks.
carl0s
I remember a company who turbo the M3 engine making it up to 500 - 600hp, and they didn't speak well of its reliability when that was done. They suggested frequent rebuilds, so it doesn't sound worthwhile.
