UltraFlynn
Has anyone ever heard of an SZ or SZ-R which had a factory fitted active spoiler? I've checked the model differences and it indicated that it was an option, I'm just wondering whether anyone had actually come across a car which had one fitted straight from the factory. wallace9
my car (sz-r) has the switch and all the gubbings for an active spoler. Don't know if it was ever fitted as it has an aftermarket kit on when I bought it.
Homer
Yep, seen a few SZ-R's that have the active spoiler in place. Can't recall seeing one on an SZ though.

Had everything apart from the actual spoiler unit on the front because the previous owner had had a Veilside front fitted for a few years and then returned it to standard. But in the meantime had got shot of the active spoiler assembly.

I shall keep "active spoiler" on my feature list for my new car then, which will be an SZ-R.
jamesmark
I went to see a facelift SZ (not SZ-R) with *Lynz* which she eventually bought. It had a factory fitted active spoiler.
Homer
Just noticed our supra guide pdf has the wrong information on this...
UltraFlynn
The supra guide pdf shows that the SZ-R had the active spoiler as an option and that the SZ did not. Is that the part which is incorrect?
jamesmark
Is that the part which is incorrect? Probably more trying to be being a smart arse. Yeah just had to sit and watching Adobe downloading to double check, as had a feeling after I posted.
marcAB10
wish my SZ-R had the active spoiler fitted standard.. And while we're on the subject I only just checked if my car was a SZ or SZ-R and was pleased to see it is a SZ-R and just found out it has a LSD.. I have owned the car a year and a half now.. Yes, plus it says that the RZ manual pre 95 didn't have one, but it was standard on all RZ manuals.
