Ewen
When I was 12 to 14, we used to build bikes up from bits we found at tips or on the old railway embankment. We called them trackers. One was an old delivery bike, great girt back tyre and wee diddy front wheel...the front forks were swapped and a normal wheel fitted, cow horn handle bars and a paint job. Another was a normal racing bike but we put extended front forks on it and the saddle from a Chopper. It was lethal. Dad bought me a Claude Butler Tipo Strada for my 15th birthday back in '75. It was my absolute dream bike, but got stolen not long after. This is what I use now, its a tank but I love it.
