Alex
Either a 1UZ-FE or a 3UZ-FE 4-4.3L Lexus V8 as found in a GS400/430.
The Hornet
Are you having a go at this Alex..?
Alex
Do you mean am I knocking it? Nope - it's what I'd do...would have done it years ago if I'd had the budget. Though I'd have put on smaller turbo's as I wouldn't want a drag only car. 4.3L V8 with 2x GTRS's would be more than enough IMO.
Digsy
Wallop! That's not messing about, is it? Any more pictures of the installation?

Alex
The LS400/430 had the same block - There is deffo a GS430....thinking about it the GS400 might not have existed. oops

b_have
Photoshopped! Or are those turbos (one is anti-surge, other isn't!) just there for blowing air onto the undertray?
attilauk
lol, have you read through the supraforums thread? 90% of it is people argueing over whether its a photoshop those tubbys aren't the ones that will be used, they have been placed there to give an impression of what the finished article will be like
Alex
A big problem they have is that they don't have a lot of space either side of the V cause of the strut towers. IMO to work well the turbo's would actually need to be mounted at sump level. ie upside down. Keeping the CoG low and minimising the manifold length. Digsy
The problem with moutning turbos low is getting the oil to drain out of them effectively. They need to be above the oil level in the sump.
Alex
Hmmm - bugger hadn't considered that...Frickin suspension towers... Is there anyway to pump the oil out?
Digsy
I don't see why not, with a small scavenge pump or something. I'm sure someone somewhere will have tried that already.

Alex
Budget ever allowing, I would. I'd love more torque and the 3UZ can be turned into a 5.2L as demo'd in the JGTC Supra's of 2003 - light weight alloy block probably only weighs as much as the Iron 2JZ. It would be a great project even left as an NA!
