J4CK50N
Hi guys Well, I've just got the car on the road again this past few days, and I've just been out for a quick blast and something has happened. I was pulling hard in third, the back end stepped out when the 2nd turbo came online Backed off and corrected and in the midst of backing off the was a bang like a misfire and now the car wont boost over 0.2bar. The car still drives ok off boost, and when It goes on boost and you back off you get a dump through the hks bov but its a much lighter fluttery dump. Please tell me its not the turbo and it could just be a hose somewhere! I cant handle having to fork out more money so soon Cheers Martyn
Whitesupraboy2
sounds like could be a hose come off or split, theres one in the wing that seems to pop off quite a lot on here. Get searching tomorrow mate. And i think you would boost on first turbo if you had blown second turbo. Meaning you should boost to about 0.6 Bar (i swear when people blow second turbos the first still comes online) and then have some white smoke. Jake
Yeah, it'll be the intercooler ducting has come apart, classic symptoms. Start by looking at the ducting down by the side of the battery. If that's where the problem is, whip the battery out and do that hose clip up good and tight. Scary when it comes off, isn't it? I nearly wet myself the first time mine did it. You haven't recently decatted have you?
Jake
One more thing: if the jubilee clip is NFG don't bother going to Halfords for new ones, they don't do them big enough for our IC ducting. Get down to B&Q instead, they sell some huge ones in the plumbing section.
J4CK50N
Hi guys, it was a hose going to the FMIC in the drivers side front wing. Popped it back on and tightened up and its been spot on since. Thanks for all your help. J4CK50N
