far
I have a spreadsheet for one of my sales guys which I want converting from Euros to GBP, is there some kind of formula that can be added to change the rate? Please see attached.
Nic
I use the attached exchange rate sheet, you can select the £ price and multiply by the exchange rate figure. You can update the exchange rates on a daily basis by right clicking on the sheet and then selecting refresh data.
far
thanks Nic, I actually wanted to see if it was possible to put a formula in the spreadsheet I attached and convert the Euros to GBP - guess its not!
tbourner
How about the attached? Or did you want something a bit more clever than that?

far
ah - thats clever stuff See the second table you have made, well is it possible that when the sales rep adds their sales for the month in that second table the £ commision amount is changed? at the moment the commision is only automatically calculated if you put the sales figures in euros in the top table
tbourner
hmmm, it'd need something more complex I think. I thought because you've got "CHANGE THESE" in the side bit that you didn't want to change the main tables. Do you just want to be able to modify any part of the sheet and the other bits keep up? You want the moon on a stick then basically?

tbourner
Not sure if this one will be any better, not quite sure what you're trying to get out of it or what info is available to your sales guys. There are now 2 sheets in it, the first you can fill in everything in Euros and it tells you the GBP amounts, second sheet is the same but vice versa, the exchange rate is the other way round as well. I made up the figures for the GBP sheet.
