stalling after doughnutting

Oh come on peeps the odd few wide circles is fun, and helps keep your hand in for the odd wee unexpected rearend breakaway. Never had any probs with the two Supras I have had, they will diff all day but, at least a half tank of juice is required.

Obviously diffing is a lot more popular in Ireland than England, over here if you go to a cruise and don't diff, u are in danger of being branded a wos. It can be dear at £300 for a set of rears, to smoke in one night.

the original post wasn't. I didn't think so anyway!

I'm assuming that the torque convertor is either in lockup, or it just won't allow enough slip for the engine when I come to an abrupt sideways stop.

Am I close?

edit: sorry, I should've said in the first place that it's an Auto. Obviously if it was a manual I wouldn't be asking "why'd it just stall?!!"
