i tried to sort out my drivers window switch today as its packed up again

so what did i do?

i thought the ignition was off and took the cover off the switch housing on the drivers door panel and touched it with a screwdriver by accident and then smoke came out the circuit board

now i have no central locking and no windows working at all so everything on the drivers side switching is gone

need help asap with this please

i have some cash to buy a new switch housing if anyone has one for sale ?

Have you got:

a) a manual

b) a friend who has a manual

c) a manual that has a friend

d) a list of which fuses serve the central locking and window circuits?

If not, a,b,c or d would be a good place to start :)

use a torch

get right in

and you cant miss it

some say you dont have to remove the trim but i find it easier to get to if you do.

long nose pliers or the fuse removal tool if its still there (on the fuse board)

some drop the back of the drivers seat and lay down head first on there back

but you can kneel on ther floor an get your head in too

you'll find it

got the central locking and one window working again

plus i didnt notice but it knocked out my electric seat switch too

it was the 30amp pink fuse in the foot well compartment that also works the windows and central locking so all nearly ok again lol

just waiting for my switch to come and hopefully it will be ok again

big thanks for the info
