You could also apply that argument on polished bits for the engine. They don't do anything except look bling, £££ and eye-catching. And yet engine bling seems to be accepted here. The same is for undercar lighting, decent car gfx etc. As for loosing crediability on here ... well, if you're concerned about that then you worry too much what people think of you. Perhaps it's me - but in my 10yrs of driving I've yet to meet a decent pork scratchin, that's pulled me over because I've done something wrong. I remember a friend of mine telling me what he said the pork chops when they pulled him for no reason ... "So, why have you pulled me over ? I've done nothing wrong." "No reason sir - just routine check. Having a look at your car." "There's nothing wrong with my car. But if you're going to look at my car - I'm going to look at yours." And so he did!
