Guest Ian S
hi im a newbie so go easy on me I am currently thinking of buying a face lift J spec tt 6speed, but the indicator stalk is on the right hand side and not on the the normal left hand side, is this normal for a J spec? Do the uk spec tt's have the indicator stalk on the left and wiper stalk on the right? If so would uk spec stalks fit in a j spec? cheers guys
Whitesupraboy2
Hi mate yeh the indicator is on the right hand side on imports, i dont know about the UK model. I actually find it easier on the right hand side now. This has to be the best post for 'i want to buy a supra but worried about.....' Jake
I thought all Jap cars have the indicator stalk on the RHS. All English cars used to have it on that side too.
raymanuk
Welcome Ian, Buy the beast you will get used to it When I first got in to my J-spec I was flashing the lights, wipers were going - funny but also annoying. I get into other cars like the company pool car we use I am now doing the same that I did in the Supe originally - lol Buy it you will love it

Marco
Having the indicator stalk on the left is just stupid in a RHD car! How are you supposed to use the indicators and shift gear at the same time?
Gordon F
All English cars used to have it on that side too. Yep -they did. It was moved by the manufacturers (European and American) who were producing more LHD cars than RHD.
RobSheffield
use the indicators and shift gear at the same time? agree completely. my dad has a number of classic cars that have indicators on RHS. so much easier to put right arm on windowsill, right hand on wheel and left hand stays on gearshift. right finger to use indicator stick! have no soop yet but i wondered this!!
