Millers CVL

Quick question:

Is it okay to use Millers CVL with Optimax in a decatted Supe?

It's a "lead replacement valve lubricant", but Millers seem to say it's okay in engines without catalysts and can give a RON number of up to 100.8 when combined with Optimax (MON 89.2).

This'll just be a one off; would it be advisable to reset my ECU?

Cheers

CVL is good stuff. It will work fine in the car. Those octane figures look very high though. It's up to you if you reset the ECU. The car will learn what you are running after a while.

Sorry to hijack this post..... Terry, I've read a lot of posts about re-setting your ECU, when is the best time to do this?

And what do you need to do to reset ECU? Does it still work with UK-spec Supras?

Cheers.

No problem. You can reset the ECU when you have done major mods to the car or even just changed fuel type. It put the ECU in to learning mode for a short while. You pull 2 fuses. Can't remember which without looking ( Branners know which off by heart).

If Branners doesn't jump in I'll look tonight.
