Suprash
Now Im actually quite rubbish with my PS3 as in personalising it......or uploading stuff to it like tunes and pictures etc......but I noticed the other day when playing a game, it said we note you do not have any pictures to personalise your game profile.......so thought I would like to get some stuff shifted from my Laptop to the PS3......so..... 1) How do I get my laptop to link up with my PS3 via wifi ? 2) Can I use a pic like a desktop on my PS3, can you do anything funky with music on there, like maybe have a certain album playing in the background all the time. If you have music on your PS3, can you get that music to play through a game instead of some of the cheesy tunes they build into the game. 3) What other funky stuff can I do to set up my PS3 more for me.....? Thanks to all the gaming die harders out there...... Also something I thought of last night, when I have completed GT5 prologue and I buy the full version later in the year, can you copy over all saved progress to date so far like licences and Class C and B wins etc, or do you have to start that all over again on the full version, will be a bit hacked off if I have to statt back at the beggining again...? JamesC
If you have Nero 7 you can set this to share files on your PC with your PS3. Then when you browse your pictures/music on your PS3 it will show your laptop on there. If you dont have Nero then i think Windows Media Player 10 can do it, or have a loook at something called RedKawa. I *think* they do a file server. probrox
How do you do that mate..... Is it quite obvious..... On WMP11, go to options, library tab, configure sharing. Can't remember exactly what i did after that because i did it a while ago. I think i pressed networking button and just turned all sharing options on. Then just search for media server on ps3. Should find your pc and let you browse the files in shared folders ie. pictures, films and pics.
Thorin
I use TVersity for the media streaming stuff http://tversity.com/home ...and to connect to your laptop via wifi you'll need a wireless router or access point, it can't do an ad-hoc network between just the laptop and PS3. Excellent, thats what I wondering Michael.......so obviously both my PS3 and my laptop are already setup to connect to my wireless router, but how do I get a virtual connect between the two so I can dump stuff from my laptop to my PS3.........
