Lower engine mount differences

I have received a pair of TRD uprated engine mounts for a VVTi Supra. However, these are a lot larger and beefier than the stock VVTi lower engine mounts, and I suspect these to be for the non-VVTi engine. Now, I have read the non-VVTI mounts are better, so I want to use them, but here's the question:

Which upper engine mounts (engine "brackets") should I get?

I have checked with the local Toyota dealer, who said there are two different part numbers for each side of the engine for non-VVTi Eurospec engines (he did not have the japanese EPC). Am I right in assuming I should get the 93-96 type engine brackets?

Unfortunately, I don't have the part numbers of the TRD mounts here, but I'll try and dig them out (my garage is an hours drive away) if it's a necessity to find out which brackets I need...

All help appreciated! :)

very good question, i think you would get the stock mounts, there both stock but i mean older generation ones, not all supras of that age had them fitted, on my document it just says "newer type" which is very vague.

i should have a set of them mounts if you want to pm me an offer, was going to use the later ones...but never got around to fitting them,i just have the mounts now, thery sit at a slightly different angle.

TRD only make ONE version of the engine mounts for the Supra. These are a straight swap on an early model Supra, on the facelift (96+) Supra they are not as the engine mount design was changed.

To fit the TRD engine mounts on a facelift Supra, you will also need to buy the 2 brackets used on the early model Supra, the part numbers for these are 12311-46090 & 12351-46090, you will need one piece of each.
