SMTP relay providers. Recommendations?

Just moved a small office's server into the chaps home and he has a BT home ADSL package.

I am aware of the hoops you have to jump through with BT's mail relay for your own domain on the business broadband packages, relay whitelist, match-up WHOIS postal addresses, smtp auth etc, but this one is odder. BT's SMTP server is re-writing the domain part of outgoing emails, and seems to be using the MX record of the domain for this, so outgoing emails are sent as [email protected] , the MX record lists whatever.dnsalias.net as the primary MX for incoming mail, so BT's SMTP server is rewriting outgoing email addresses to [email protected]. Obviously that's a bad thing.

I think this is going to be too awkward to sort with the BT support people, particularly as it's not just one email address (it's an Exchange server). I just found a company called AuthSMTP who offer SMTP relaying for ~£not-a-lot per year (£20 ish).

Anybody have any other recommendations for SMTP relay providers, preferably UK based?

I would tell the chap to change his broadband provider but that'll take some time. For now the server is delivering directly but this is blocked by dns blacklists in widespread use.
