Connecting PS3 to Wireless Network

I have seen a few people mentioning that they are playing online games on their PS3. I am trying to set my PS3 up to connect to our wireless internet connection but am struggling!

It keeps saying "failed to connect to access point.... check security setting for WLan"

Thing is, I have connected loads of computers to our network and all I needed was the WEP encryption key, but this one isn't having any of it!

Anyone had similar problems, or know a solution? I am craving some online COD4!

Cheers,

Our WEP key is 10 digits.

By wireless network name do you mean the SSiD? If so, I have that too.

I think I have all the necessary information, but it doesn't want to let me connect.

When it says "check security settings", any idea what security settings I should be checking?! The manual is no use at all!

I couldn't get mine to connect to my wireless network either, can't remember what it was telling me was wrong though. I just ended up using the ethernet cable in the end as my PS3 is right next to my router.

I would do this, but would need about 15 metres of cable!

Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure you will have to pay to have other computers set up on the network if you're on AOL... I had this problem trying to help out a friend who couldn't get another conputer working on her wireless AOL router.

Also, for the other issues do a search on here for past problems. There was quite a discussion about it. I think Whitesupraboy2 started a thread about it? I'd search for you but... well... i'm not your slave :)

No I mean if you buy a wireless router package from them then you can't connect a PC/computer with non-AOL software on it. Well, the package my friend had didn't let me anyway.

Well it doesn't say that it hasn't been accepted!

I followed the same process, but no luck. Will have to do a search on here for previous threads and if worst comes to worst, then give up!

Cheers for the tips.
