JamesC
My j-spec drivers side rear brake has just started making a dodgy squeeking/grinding noise when driving along, although it goes when i actually brake.... so i'm going to take the wheel and caliper off tomorrow and see what i see. Do these brakes have any isses with the guard thing catching and making a noise? Or is it just more likely to be new discs and pads or a sticky caliper? I obviously dont have a clue what i'm doing! Any other common things i should be looking out for? If only i'd paid attention to the other thread and sprayed oil on my disc at the start of winter :d
Kranz
May well be: Worn pads Brake shield rubbing Stone between brake shield & disc Somethign else Good luck. Having a butchers is the only way of finding out. Please use an axle stand when jacking it up
bromy
Is the wheel getting warm? Sticky Caliper not releasing or could be just worn, grinding on the wear indicator
JamesC
Cheers! It's doing it pretty much straight away so i don't think it needs to be warm. EDIT - I read that wrong lol! No the wheel isn't getting warm, would it if it was only slightly binding on?
