JustGav
anyone know anything about them? I want to get one, but dont know anything about them. Ideally would like one that can be connected to my PC... Oooh, that is a good idea actually, I always remember sitting out on the patio with my camera, a 500mm lense, and a bunch of 2x convertors.... But with a computer controlling it, it should be possible to actually pinpoint things rather than just blindly looking on with wonder I'm interested to see where this goes. EDIT: *cough* http://www.sherwoods-photo.com/meade_scopes/meade_index_fs.htm *cough* HOW MUCH!!!

Rob
I have one of these.. http://www.tasco.com/single.cfm?s=Telescopes&family=Luminova&product=40114675 which I bought off the bloke who runs the council tip for £20. Whoever chucked it away had assembled it completely wrongly and had broken a clamp, which I fixed with chemical metal. I managed to take this picture with just a digital camera held over the eyepiece. Amazingly, this is actually the moon Io, no really it is. JustGav
I know it sounds cheesy, but I'd love to be able to set up a unit outside and have a decent camera on it that can be linked to the PC. Sat in the living room watching the skies

Rob
Your moon picture is turned through 90deg compared to mine. I think my telescope inverts the image. I've never used it to look at anything on the earth:innocent:
