Is something wrong with my sup ?

Took my car out to another Mate before pulling out the turbos. He drove the car (a lil too fast for my liking) and told me that both turbos are quite fine. From his analysis, my problem could be one of 2 things, a solenoid, or an actuator.

I have a greddy Profec B in waiting, he's suggesting that I install it first as it gets rid of the stock solenoids. If this fails, the next step would be to change the actuators

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

  • 2 months later...

finally got around to pulling out the twins. The front turbo was in perfect condition, but found that the compressor wheel of the back turbo was damaged and there was ALOT of shaft play.

Swaped it out for a used turbo which seems to be in good workign condition. Gave the car its first run and found that I only hit 1 bar at most with no Restrictor Ring fitted.

Question I have here is, should I still fit a restrictor ring even if the car is not doing as much boost as it should do?

THanks
