Steviekid
My wireless internet connection stopped working and I've finally worked out that it's because of my TV sender that I'd hooked up again. Has anyone else had a problem with this? I'm wondering if it's because my router is a BT home hub (aka piece of shit) or does it always happen? RIJ8631
Stevie, I had a problem recently with my router - " cannot connect to server " kept appearing everytime I tried to get on line. After a lot of farting about trying to sus out the problem, I contacted my internet supplier - who told me to switch off the router and turn it back on again and hey presto problem solved. Seemingly you should switch off the router regularly. By the way Merry Xmas and hope to meet up next year cheers Ian
Steviekid
By the way Merry Xmas and hope to meet up next year cheers Ian Yeah will do! Should probably explain better about the router. The wireless connection was working fine (albeit with a poor signal strength) until I plugged a wireless video sender into my TV. This seems to have interfered with the router which then wouldn't connect to the PC. As soon as I turned the TV sender off, which isn't even that close to the router, it worked fine again. I was just wondering if that's usually the case or if it's because my router is cack.

ivan
Change the router channel.
Thorin
Yes perhaps try changing the channel. What model is the TV sender? You could try and find out what channel that uses and use one suitably away from that. If you've got a poor signal strength to begin with then it doesn't take much to disrupt that, changing the channel may improve things but if not then you might want to invest in a new router with MIMO technology. Supra ST Myster
yeah i had the same problem, the sender i have as 4 channels on the botton you can select on each, channels 1 and 2 made the wireless internet not work but 3 and 4 are ok, but the wireless still affects the signal on the tele sometimes which is a pain though on 3 and 4! also microwaves affect it big time! can tell when next door uses theres aswell! ha big lines on the tele
Steviekid
Cheers guys, at least I know I've now got options! I was going to get a new router anyway so will find out what the hell "MIMO" is first!! The sender is a Tevion which was a really cheap thing but I see it does have four channels so will have a play around with that.
