remapping an n/a?

hi guys - i have found a car(finally) that i want to buy - it is an n/a auto 94 M

among other things it is advertised as having been remapped?

i have been to see the car and everything looks great - going back on sunday to pay and pick it up (if the price is right)

i was under the impression that you either couldnt remap an n/a or it wasnt worth doing - when i asked him about it he said it was to do with the difference in the fuel - dont know how true this is - whats the general concensus?

(woohoo my first technical thread:D)

Remapped NA?

There is no reason to remap an NA unless changes have been made. NA's are notoriously difficult to squeeze power out of without going to forced induction.

See if you can find out the details of the 'remap' unit, bear in mind you can't 'superchip' a supra, and it would more than likely have to be a piggyback or a standalone.

You need to get details about what modifications have been made. If it has the stock ECU fitted then it cannot have been remapped. Simply saying it's been remapped and not being able to tell you how, probably means it hasn't.
