ok i will have the blanking plates tomorrow and can see where they fit, so what do you do with the pipes thatare left, 1 block them all off 2 vent to atmosphere 3 something else ? anyone out there who has done it ?

sorted, they have a locating plug that is a tight as fcuk, also a load of 3 m sticky stuff !!

have removed the plastic cover,removed the 4 10mm bolts (2 per side) but still refuses to come off ! any ideas anyone please its starting to annoy me

i was told by my engine builder not to remove the 1st cat due to spikes, top man at option motorsport, your decision

if both cats are out no, leave 1 st in, set the boost controller at the correct level for your engine tune and everybody is happy

its not the size of the waste gate that is the problem, it cannot react fast enough with all the cats out to effectivley control the boost,im running motec m800 and it takes care of everything for me !! always leave the 1st cat in "nearest the engine" the second one is very restrictive and can be taken off safely

you can safely remove the second "large cat" with no probs at all, still will a performance gain, its when you remove both that you have to be careful

im fully de catted uk car with nur spec, loud but it really sounds good, you will suffer boost creep, boost spikes, this is because toyota use the "pre cat" to control the boost levels, this WILL fuck the turbos, so tread carefully

the ebc pads have it "bonded onto the pad", fit and forget, the pads really are very good to,

forget the shims, get some ebc redstuff pads, come with special material on back of the pad, shims go in the bin not on your car

when the fly wheel goes tits up, its most noticable when turning engine off, a kind of rattle, but no noise really when running, i know cause mine has just been renewed -
