UJC are holding a track day at castle coombe, like they did last year. piccies here http://ultimatejapcars.co.uk/forum//index.php?showtopic=4302 Date still to be confirmed (probably July/August), trying to see if we've got the numbers before we discuss dates but it will be on a weekday, so save your holidays from work. We need to have around 20 people interested and then the price is around £145 each. This will be an UPFRONT payment to confirm a place. General layout we did last time was 6 cars on track at a time for around 15-20 minutes for the morning, a little bit of a photoshoot just after lunch and then an open pit in the morning. (I believe Derek did nearly 2 hours non stop at the last one ) So loads of tracktime each. Please post your interest below to be added to the list.......

just got this email; Hi, Let me introduce myself, I am the General Manager of the new Mitsubishi, and Chrysler Jeep dealership in Redmoor Milton Keynes. We have only been open for 3 weeks now and we are putting the final pieces of the jigsaw together to complete the premises. We are having an open weekend on 12th and 13th of March, 8.30am to 5.00pm Saturday and 11.00am to 4.00pm Sunday next week. I would be honoured if you could spend some time with us to take a look around our new dealership, meet our staff and share a bite to eat with us. We have a 260 in the showroom, and our 320 demo should be with us by the middle of the week, we're cutting it fine I know. We also are the headline sponsor for Pat Macarther this season, follow this link http://www.macarthur-motorsport.co.uk for all the detail. Pat will be displaying his car with us at the dealership and be on hand to chat to everyone. We have employed many technicians who are Mitsubishi trained, our senior Mitsubishi technician is Raliiart trained, as is our Service Manager so I'm confident we can cater for all your aftersales requirements. We will offer an incentive to all MLR members who would like to use our services in the future, please feel free to make some sugesstions of what you might like. I can be contacted by email at work Best regards, David Whyman. so the plan is that we meet up at the pub and then convoy to the dealership about an hr later

my letter to the editor of japanese performance magazine
uzthedentist replied to uzthedentist's topic in Off Topic
yep like a luxury v8tt soarer or drift spec fc rx7s etc -
I was bored today. On call again and the nurses are looking after all the patients anyway. So i decided to wurite a letter to the editor of JP. How many of you would agree with me on this??: Dear Editor, I'd like to say congratulations on the magazine. I have been reading it for a year now and the standard of journalism is excellent. However, I am writing to you on what I feel is an inherent Subaru Impreza bias in your magazine. My local newsagent used to reserve the magazine for me each month and I looked forward to the wide variety of cars and coverage of events. But over the last 5 months, I’ve been dismayed at the contents. This is because EVERY month there are articles on Imprezas. Why is this? How different is one 350bhp Impreza from another? From the spec lists the answer would be: not much. Surely there must be other cars that you can cover with interesting and innovative specs and modifications? Imprezas already have their own magazine, with articles on modified Imprezas every month. So why does JAPANESE performance magazine feel that it must fill its pages with at least one Impreza a month? Don’t get me wrong, I really like Imprezas, and have had many an enjoyable tussle with one on track, but seeing one with 3-400bhp every month with the same old spec is beginning to get tiring. This month (March) should have been renamed IMPREZA PERFORMANCE. 3 articles on imprezas and 50% of the questions in ‘Jap answers’ dedicated to Imprezas. It’s quite obvious why you feature so many Imprezas in your magazine. It can be seen on every Japanese meet, track day and event across the country. There are so many Impreza drivers, that you feel it’s in your interest from a sales perspective to produce a magazine for them. This provides you with more profits, and a larger circulation. However, at the same meets, you see Toyotas, Nissans, Mitsubishis, Mazdas and Lexuses. As the Market Leader you should be more representative of these marques. Now as a Jap car enthusiast, having owned a GT4, 300zx, and Starion, I am a fan of the Subaru Impreza. However I cant help feeling that If you just didn’t feature them so often in your magazine. That maybe when the one special Impreza comes along, more people will stand up and take note. Rather than it being ‘just another Impreza’. Thanks Uzman
