Hi bud,
Saw yir post on the LSOC:)
TEMS, best thing since sliced bread, Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension.
As you will probally have a good idea what it is, but to answer your question about stiffening them up, then here goes.
If they are factory fitted then when the PWR is in normal mode, the suspension is nice and supple, but if you hit a fast bend and have to steer quickly to get round it, the suspension will automaticly stiffen up to help prevent body roll.
Flick the switch over to PWR, and there is a noticable stiffening of the suspension, don't know about the the Supra, but this also removes some power assist, and holds the revs right up to the red line (7200) before changing.
No here is the best bit, the diagnostic port under the bonnet, if you bridge a certain two points (can never remember which ones, but I "just go and do it") you set the shockies to 0 rebound, and the suspension is rock hard, and i mean, rock hard:)
The Gen 5 JDM Celica has the same set-up, so no doubt the Supra may have been giving the same, as an option maybe:idea:
