  1. Those earths to the body from the battery may be suspect, did you remove the paint before screwing them down to the body as the screws only contacting the metal are unlikely to provide an adequate earth for any significant current draw
  2. Hi, I replaced the odometer with a new one. Not too expensive from what I recall. Mileage appears to be retained by ECU so the new odometer should read correctly.
  3. Some time since I had my Supra, but buffer failure in the odometer also causes this error, odometer still works OK, but can cause speed sensor error
  4. Chris I don't disagree at all. I was extremely lucky with my Blitz ECU matching the mods I had, albeit I had to use an AFC to reduce the injector pulse width at idle. It ran like stock off boost and and like a missle on boost That said with a single turbo or similar fitted I know it would not have been so good Mark
  5. Regals work on my car was never a problem , both the Supra and previously a Calibra Turbo. Mark Brown
  6. Chris Funny you should mention speedo conversions in connection with this. If I recall correctly some 4 years ago when I got my Supra, the conversion had been done so that the divided signal was being fed to everything , speedo, odo, cruise, ECU, P Steering , Air con etc and I occasionally had this problem, but ignored it. I changed this 2 years ago so that the divided signal only feeds the speedo and cruise (ODO reads miles fine from the undivided signal if modified to show miles or UK ODO used) with everything else receiving the undivided signal so that it responds as it was designed to do and I've had no recurrence. Maybe just coincidence, but would feeding a divided signal to the ECU cause this problem i.e cause the ECU occasional confusion? Mark Brown
  7. I have 550cc injectors on my J spec and it ran miles too rich initially. Had to fit an AVCR, reduced the fuelling by 16% at idle to get that right and between 13%- 8% from idle to three quarters throttle to get it to run properly. Mark Brown
  8. Unfortunately Leon hasn't got any, he has some on order from USA, but no idea when they will be received. I need at least one urgently, if nobody has any other ideas it will have to be a new loom. Mark Brown
  9. Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain new HT coil connectors, ie the plugs on the loom that connect to the coils, short of buying a complete new engine wiring loom. Mark Brown
  10. The calipers Chris supplied and fitted are excellent. Although my old ones weree only partially seized, these new ones have made a massive difference. Mark Brown
  11. There is a fix for the wiring on this BBS or you can do what I did and just remove the Active Spoiler ECU, it sits behind the radio Mark
  12. The Master Warning light without any other warning lights is frequently caused by an active spoiler fault, check the active spoiler works ok. Mark Brown
  13. Dude I did the 550 mod etc, same problems you had. I've fitted an AVCR to reduce the fuelling. At start up the overall fuel adjustment I had to make to get it to start properly and idle with the correct mixture was -13%. The lambda sensor could not cope with making such a large adjustment on its own. It might be the temp sensor for the ECU, but I doubt it. Mark Brown
  14. Check the speed converter and wiring to the converter first. There is loads on info on this site regarding this. However I had exactly this problem and after checking everything else it turned out to be faulty odometer, although it appeared to be working ok. A replacement is not expensive, if it is this, about £38. Mark Brown
  15. Turbo Dynamics are a good and reasonably well known operation based in Portsmouth. They did my hybrids 3 years ago, no problems whatsoever with them. Mark Brown
