Victory:) Eventually manged to get sufficient grip with mole to release. I think it all comes down to heating the screws hot enough. The one that I knackered was my first attempt and i only took blowtorch to it for a few seconds. the other three i gave a good 10 second blast then attacked immediately with screwdriver. Thanks for all the advice:thumbs:

Just spent last hour or so getting frustrated with replacing the rattly rubber bits. Managed to get three of the four screws out using blowtorch and brute force. Unfortunately managed to completely strip andthe knacker the last screw which is still stuck and now my screwdriver just whirls round and round. Any advice on how I can get it out now?

Mine is an SZ-R. It's June 95 manufactured. Got the Torsen Diff, sideskirts, recaro seats. Not sure what was "standard" other than the LSD.

29 MPG - mix of dual carriageway and town driving - boring style. 25 MPG - as above but Schumacher style

Have lovely SZ-R and am happy with the 16"wheels:eek: I am aware this is sacrilege and I should have 18" or at least 17" but hey I am a muppet:p I am v. stupid and cannot get my head around tyre sizes. Currently car has 245/50 Potenzas at rear and same 225/50 at front. It is v.difficult to find any make of tyres in same size. Question is: What alternative size of tyre can I safelyuse at the rear eg 295/30 etc etc etc Ideally I would like to replace with F1's. New underpants have been frequently needed in recent rain. Help:)

I know this is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string BUT what's a decent price for 4 stock 17" alloys. Background is: have bought NA with stock 16" and fancy getting at least 17". Seems to be loads about on ebay etc with partworn tyres and want to get a bargain. Scottish genes:p

Have tried searching archives but to no effect. I have a SZ-R with exterior door handles in red. they are looking very worn/sun bleached. any advice on how to refurbish them or who sells replacements. Thanks in anticipation

used them about five years ago for classic car insurance. didnt make any claims so not sure how good they are when you have a problem but they were the cheapest for classics then

You are never too young to have mid life crisis mate! Any way my kids think I'm having a "MLC" by buying the soop hence the name. Will try and change it to something unique:)

Hello everyone Have finally purchased my first Supra, used the priceless advice available on this site and the forum when looking and insuring. Got a quote of £460 fully comp from Liverpool Vic. Is this competitive? I am 36, have 3 pts, live in country and have 95 NA SZ. PS Also my first RWD so hopefully won't go backwards into ditch first time it rains!
