  1. Hi Guys, I think my clutch is starting to slip a bit when I acelerate in 4, 5, or 6 ie motorway driving although it is fine when I go up through the gears during hard acceleration. The car is 96 N UK Supra and has only covered 45k, the only modification I have done is fit a Blitz cat back exhaust. Can it really be the clutch on its way out? If it is going how long will it take before for it packs in? I suppose the next thing to ask if it is teh Clutch is how much can I expect to pay for a new one including all parts and fitting? Thanks Kevin
  2. Thanks for the advice guys! I stripped out all the interior yesterday in an hour. I think you just have to be bold when it comes to plastic trims and just remove them. Rousey:- Did you re-spray your carpet a different colour with that follitec colourspray or is it a cleaning product? Cheers
  3. Hi again, I asked the same question back in June and found out that there were a few people on board with Blitz and other induction kits fitted to their UK Supras whether they have been modified to get round AFM Sensor is another thing! I have been told that like the UK Supras, the US spec cars have the AFM sensor fitted. I guess any filter fitted to US spec car will fit the UK car, so your best off ordering an Induction Kit from the US. I work at a Metal Fabrication company so once I get my induction kit sorted out I will be looking to build a custom Stainless steel or aluminium box around it to stop hot air being sucked in from the engine bay. Hope that helps!
  4. So would I be correct in saying that an induction kit designed for the US Spec car would fit on a UK spec car with no problems? I kind of fancy one of them Maxair induction boxes!
  5. Eyefi:- I am hopefully replacing it with a second hand carpet or I am going to stump up the cash and by a new one, although they are very expensive.
  6. Hi Guys, could any of you fellow Supra owners who have replaced there stock front carpet give me a step by step guide to this operation? What should I look out for, are there any pitfalls to avoid? What tools will I need to remove the seats/trim? Any help would be greatly received? Cheers
  7. Just wondering if there is any reason why Jap and UK seats aren't interchangable? I may be wrong here but I know the UK seats are heated and the Jap ones are not but are there any other differences? or are they basicaly the same seat and runners? Are the electric connectors the same? Cheers Kevin
  8. I was thinking of purchasing a second hand induction kit for my 96 UK TT and decided to call racelogic just to confirm it was the correct type for the UK Model Supra. The guy at racelogic told me that non of the Blitz induction kits would fit the UK car as its air sensor is in a different location to the import Supras preventing an induction kit being fitted. Is this true? I am pretty sure I have seen and herd of UK cars with induction kits on them! Cheers
  9. Thanks for the info guys, I will go to the garage tonight and give 36 psi all round a go and see how it handles.
  10. I have a set of 19" Pirelli PZERO Rosso tyres 255/30's front and 275/30's rear and I was wondering what the correct tyre pressures should be? I have been told when you go for lower profile tyres you should increase the tyre pressure by 10% per inch increase in Diameter is this true? I am currently running 40psi and the car seems to handle well but is this optimum? Cheers
  11. I wondered why the Active front spoiler is always so clean when I come to wash the car, I guess I never go over "30" to busy looking at the reflection of my wheels in shop windows as I drive by. I have loads more pictures of my car to post up, if some one could just remind me how! Cheers
  12. Nice to see my car has made an apperance on your web page Paul. I would recomend colour coding the front active spoiler like mine it certainly improves the look of the front of the car. I was warned by several people that the lip could get stone chipped once painted, but it has been done nearly a year now and I have had no such problems.
  13. Just split with my girlfriend, so it looks as though I will be down on my own this year, so camping will probably be a viable option. Only problem is I don't have a tent and I have never slept in a tent since I was 16 so I don't have a clue. The cost to buy a tent will probably be more than it will cost to stay in some basic accomodation. Is there a night out planned for the saturday? or is it a barbi + a few beers?
  14. Hi, Kaleel, long time no speak. Have you tried Foxhunters tyres at Whitley Bay they seem to be the cheapest company for tyres in this neck of the woods. They usualy do price match as well. I would also recomend giving michdelver a call as they are really cheap, and their service is top notch. Are you going to Billing this year? Cheers
  15. Talking about rear badges, does anyone know where you can get the oval top secret badges from as on the back of Phil Dawsons old Supra? By directly replacing the rear toyota badge, it would remove the need to fill the holes and knowbody will know what kind of car your driving. BTW. You can see a shot of the 98 spec clear front indicators supplied by Paul on a red UK car in the members section under my name, can't remeber the number.
  16. Thanks for the advice guys, has anybody got any diagrams or pictures so I know which wire I am looking for? even colour would help. Thanx Kevin
  17. Hello All, I disconnected my battery for about 3 weeks while I was on holiday. When I have reconnecting the battery upon my return I now have a Green LED flashing intermitantly on the active spoiler button and the big red warning triangle is also iluminated on the dash. The spoiler no longer deploys when the keys are in the ignition or when driving. The car has been down to two local Toyota garages who both failed to fix the problem after keeping the car in for a day. Has anybody got any ideas what may be the cause and how it can be fixed? If it helps the only other things I can think of that may have a bearing on this problem is that I recently fitted some 98 style front indicators and I also washed the car before it was garaged. Thanx Kevin
