  1. Our young cat (not long ago a kitten herself) has just given birth to an embyo. It's really quite un-developed. We didn't even know she was pregnant although she was starting to look a bit chubby all over. I'm really having no luck with google. Does anybody know anything about this.. is it common, likely to happen again, does she need to see a vet? Any help greatly appreciated.
  2. It's probably worth noting that the United States Patent and Trademark Office doesn't know about the term BPU. I did say he was a tosser.. (Mr Mark that is..)
  3. Phew. She'd have been upset if I spent ~£350 when I'm half way there with the deposit already.
  4. ignore me. I'm supposed to be saving over ten grand for a house deposit.

  6. It's a stupid thing, but BPU was a term coined by a Supra Tosser from the US, and it meant a particular package of upgrades which could be done to a MKIV Supra Turbo in order to gain ~70 - 70bhp. Although the words are general in nature ("basic" "performance" "upgrade"), the term BPU™ does apply to Supra turbos specifically.
  7. Yep they're very good. I had black ones on my yellow uk calipers on the last car, and I bought another set for this car but haven't put them on 'cause I'm keeping the calipers black/stock.
  8. Well, basically it means "Turning the boost up", and to do that you need: decat, exhaust, fcd, fuel pump, etc.
  9. I'm sure I heard that one of the shit things about 3 is that they don't let you do this... All you normally do is setup a dial-up connection on your laptop, with the "Standard Modem over Bluetooth Link" (or perhaps "Nokia E65 Bluetooth Modem" if that's what it's installed as) as the modem, and have it dial the special GPRS number: *99# With some handsets, Nokia more often than not, you have to specify an init string in the modem's "advanced properties > extra init commands" through control-panel like this: at+cgdcont=1,"ip","apnname" (where apnname is the apn you want to use, which in my case would be orangeinternet, in yours it'd be 3 or 3mms or 3wap or whatever). You may also want to try varying the 1, as this is meant to specify which connection profile is used on the phone (there are usually three or so setup by the provider). My Sony Ericsons never needed this, but all my Nokia phones have.

    Supra Insurance

LOL, inpossible.. imsurance.. wtf's going on here. You just have to get some quotes from the usual suspects don't you, confused.com etc and vary the parameters see if you can get the price down - put in limited mileage of ~2000 or something. A-Plan seem to give people the best prices from what they've been saying lately.
  11. It's still bloody powerful at 400 though..
  12. I suppose you could disconnect the drop links on both sides and see if the noise stops. I wouldn't go around corners with any speed like that though as the car is likely to roll more than it should. I'd probably just change them anyway. I dunno if the rollbar will knock against the lower control arm even if you disconnect the links and tie them out of the way. The main problem is actually disconnecting the droplinks without an angle grinder though (or at least be lucky and have some decent hex wrenches), although you're going to have to disconnect/reconnect the droplinks to fit a new lower control arm anyway. They're also known as anti-roll-bar links if that helps.
  13. Was he an established client? No way would I supply anything over a couple of hundred quid on credit to an unknown company. Best of luck mate. I sometimes think what I would do to a non paying client, and it's generally along the lines of walking in and cutting all the network cabling and taking computers out, but that's only any good if the company is trying to continue trading.
  14. Mind you, what would the doctors gain from saying brain damage/injury. I'm talking to myself, guess I'm wrong
  15. Don't get me wrong, it was a shocking and emotionally disturbing crash, but..
  16. See, I'm cynical as ever. I don't think he is/was really brain damaged at all, I think the whole thing was over exaggerated for the purposes of either: Publicity. An Insurance Claim. Have I over stepped the mark with my cynicism?
  17. Probably just the droplinks are worn. Common on all sorts of cars. ~£35 ea from Toyota.
  18. Where does 700bhp come from? It says 400 in the ad.
  19. Check the size of this guy's tie:
  20. The geek one explains it. The testa coil is pulsed to generate the desired frequencies.
  21. Well, I didn't think so at first (thus thinking "and?"), but I reckon it is actually.
