  1. Branners had spoken to me about this and I would be absolutely thrilled and delighted to be able to meet up with some old mates and to meet the newbies too.

I might even have the v6 turbod mr2 ready depending on the date. Failing that there is always dudes lendsy car :D

  2. Don't worry folks - tomorrows another day!

As most of you who know me will testify, I bloody hate being miserable and despite my situation I am determined to keep my ebullient self!

So, tomorrow the proper CJ will return! :D

  3. After a few bad weeks of pain and subsequent treatment I decided to treat myself to a break back to my beloved island of Kos.

I had decided to come for a month as that gave me the opportunity to settle my affairs out here as the chances of living here again were pretty much non existent. Sadly, after just 24 hours, I realise this was a mistake.

When I lived here I had a purpose - working 7 nights a week gives you that - but as a tourist you don't have that and TBH, I'm bored to tears.

The days are fine but the nights are dire. A lack of numbers mean a lack of atmosphere - and the pain has still not gone so that doesn't help either.

I can see me being back in 2 weeks as the old adage of never looking back is certainly true in my case.

  4. Hiya guys

Dude has asked me to pass on a message to tell you that due to a few family issues he may be unavailable for a week or so (and hasn't been last week) and so he is slowly getting through emails and pm's.

  5. I agree with Lyndon 100%. I dread to think what my weekly concoction of meds would cost and as for the treatment and scans etc, well, that has been first rate too.

This week alone I will have / had the following:

    Monday - Diabetic clinic

    Tuesday - Physio

    Wednesday - Radiotherapy

    Thursday - MRI scan

    Friday - Bone scan

Can you imagine what the cost of that lot comes to?

  6. I'm sure it is the 3 gs. Will ring her and check.

    Hiya friend

I am pretty sure the phone will be a 3GS but on the off chance it is a 4 or 4s (unlikely I know) then I will definitely buy it.

  7. I used to work for Vodafone (a long time ago now) in their Security & Fraud Department!!!

Pretty sure they will not touch the handset, just bar the SIM. At the end of the day they want their cash and are not bothered about the handset. Once they get their cash the handset subsidy is paid in full anyway.

I also beleive the grey and black lists for IMEI numbers relate only to lost and stolen phones, so as long as the phone is not reported lost or stolen you should be ok.

That's interesting. Maybe I can use this as negotiating tool to get it cheaper.

At the end of the day there is always means to bypass any barring :D

  8. A friend of my son has offered me his second hand Iphone 4s for a very good price. It is currently locked to Orange on a contract and I am led to believe he is in arrears with the account.

My question is, if I buy the phone, can they bar it (as in IMEI) or will they just bar the SIM card and number?
