  1. Do you still have the tt diff flanges?
  2. had a look at that and it didnt seem to be in too bad condition, did have a shake on the propshaft though and it seems to be something near the shifter its like the props bouncing its very weird
  3. So the car has been making some knocking type noises that sound like there coming from the propshaft or some part of the transmission when under hard acceleration. I fitted a new clutch a couple of days ago ad now it seems to be worse! :/ Has anyone had anything like this before and know of a fix?
  4. Oh right, I didnt know about the whats new button ill make sure to keep it to the one thread in future.
  5. I do apologise im just trying to get it out there, not everyone looks in the classifieds just thought there would be more chance if it was in a few different areas rather than just classifieds alone.
  6. I have heard that the w58 at most can handle 300hp and that its just a matter of time before it breaks after that, that's why i decided to go auto for the NA-T build.

  9. Does anyone have an auto NA or know anyone with an auto NA that they would want to swap for a manual NA?? I'm planning on doing an NA-T but can't afford the manual 6spd conversion and the only option for decent power is to use an automatic hybrid box, therefore i need an automatic NA car. Any help here would be very much appreciated!!
  10. no its w58 5spd, sorry should of probably put up some information. if anyones interested please check the car out with the link on my signature
  11. as the title says. im looking for an auto na, will swap for my manual na if anyones interested
  12. As the title suggests does anyone have any parts for the TT Auto transmission? looking for: TT box TT torque convertor TT flex plate all above with bolts if possible TT propshaft with doughnut TT diff flange TT rear crossmember
  13. Turbo kit arrived at my house yesterday evening! just waiting on a few more bits and that's everything i need. As soon as i get home i will be posting pictures of all the parts, but as for work that may be put on hold as i maybe acquiring a new car for the build....
  14. stay away from my house you! lol its bloody annoying buying it all but that not being able to get anything done don't you agree? its easy to carried away with it, i know exactly what you mean i have literally spent all my money this month haha i will be hopefully getting started somewhere round the 8th September when i finally get home are you doing a build thread on yours?
  15. Received some pictures from my dad the other day of a few of the parts that have been arriving still a lot more to come, started to get excited now! Also got confirmation that the turbo kit arrived safely in the UK and will be at my house on Thursday! can't wait to get home now and get started!! Here's some new pictures
  16. Did this box just mate straight up or was there fabrication needed? Ive been told that the 5 series 6spd is basically the same as the v160
  17. ahh well that will be good, thats just what i need! so it is, i do apologise lol thats me getting my dates mixed up
  18. hmm...maybe worth just holding off on that idea for now then and maybe just trying to get hold of a clean auto in exchange for my manual or something :/ im looking into fitting a bmw e39 m5 6spd box at the moment, need to get some more info but it looks like a fairly easy conversion but will need an adapter plate, clutch and fly, custom mount and propshaft
  19. put a deposit down on an engine yeh just need to arrange collection once im back and will be building that to swap in once i have the tt pistons in it and again a suitable gearbox for the power. cheers buddy im going to need all the help i can get haven't been under the bonnet of a car in a while and this will be the first time tinkering with a supra im going to need a few days to get the clutch bedded in so was going to go to the squires meet on the 9th sept then start work after that, you think you will get to the one on the 9th? or will you not be back in time??
  20. well im hoping i can run the w58 for a little while, i have a stage 4 clutch and lightened flywheel which i have bought over here in the states so hoping this will take some strain off the box. been having a look into the hybrid auto today and after what i have seen and what you have said after fitting yours its definitely a possible route for me sometime in the future, its just sourcing the parts to get it done and swapping the transmissions out
  21. decided in the end to stick with the stock compression and upgrade to tt pistons and rods later once i can find a gearbox capable of handling the extra power. for now im just going to go standard na-t using all the parts that i listed above. im going to be back for 3 weeks, get home on the 5th september and going to hopefully start working on her straight away, will need some assistance with some of the work if you fancy helping me out??
  22. anybody have any information on this transmission swap?
  23. this looks good, if my cars back up and running after the na-t swap i will definitely go to this!
  24. amazing build! keep up the great work! very interesting work you did on the gearbox swap, if i had the equipment and the skill i would probably give it a go myself
  25. seems redline heavy shockproof oil can help a little bit, just had a browse on some forums and opie oils and it seems to have some good properties for keeping gearboxes in reasonably good health so im going give that a whirl and see what happens, cant make it any worse
