  1. Will have to check the bulb then :/
  2. Should it light up when key is turned before starting engine?
  3. Battery is on the other side
  4. Makes sense. I think it did to have the spoiler but I bought it with a top secret bumper on it.
  5. Ah sorry forgot that bit lol
  6. (The one with the red tape) Found underneath the airbox when I took it out to do some work. Seems to come off the loom for the drivers headlight. Anyone know what this plug is? Cheers
  7. Sometimes the interior fan ie heater fan squeaks. Anyone else had this problem? Any fixes? Cheers Tom
  8. Yh Whifbitz do one for £66 so I'll get that
  9. Got a new belt to fit but had the belt off the other day and its bearings in the idler pulley making the noise so need to replace that aswell
  10. Fixed crank position sensor has fixed her
  11. Cheers. Will find out Monday! Is a right pig to get to
  12. The plug and socket were fine. Disconnected the sensor and checked the resistance of it and it was open circuit. Also checked the cam sensors and they were bang on. Removed the crank sensor and double checked it. Deffinaltly open circuit. Get the new one monday so will fit that and see what happens. This fault agrees with fault code 12 though. So much better now I have the car back at home with all my tools and jacks etc
  13. Checked the resistance of the crank sensor and cam sensors and the cam sensor has open circuit so I'm guessing this is the fault. Got one coming on Monday from keron so hopefully this will fix the problem
  14. As above where in the uk sells harness for hks turbo timer? Cheers Tom
  15. had a quick look before i started work (car is stuck in works car park until tomorow morning) mangaged to get an arm under the car to try an find the crank senor. i think i had it and the bolts felt tight, will properly when its home tomorow though and i can jack it up. tried to turn it over a couple of times and it was the same then the last couple of times the speedo neelde started bouncing and clicking behind the dash and when it stopped cranking the indicators flashed once??? cranking it has ran the battery down abit now andits about 11.3v so maybe this has something to do it? will charge it fully tomorow and try and measure the resistance of the sensors. the indicators flashing makes me think the alarm could be at fault though
  16. Would the crank timing star coming detached throw up a code or would it be a sensor breaking down. Found a manual tells you what resistance each sensor should be.
  17. ok fully reset everything by leaving battery disconnected for ages. reconnected, removed the fuse to make sure ecu was reset. checked for codes and had nothing. made sure i got a decent bit of fresh wire. cranked it over and it didnt start. bridged the connection and got fault code 12 so i will get the fluke out!
  18. Haha I want some just for the name. What else would prevent a no spark situation?
  19. I replaced the clip on top of the coil pack and it was running fine. Then Monday it wouldn't it start. I disconnected the battery for abit sprayed some wd40 over some plugs and it fired up. Drove from Basingstoke to Oxford fine. Popped out an hour later fine. Went to work fine. Wouldn't start after sitting for 7-8 hours at work. Have over 12v from the battery. It's only afew months old. Took out a coil pack and spark plug and put in it against cam cover fired it up and no spark. Cleaned battery connects, removed the ignitor and cleaned up all the contacts for it. Check cam sensor plugs are all on nice and tight still no spark. Disconnected battery over night. Still no spark. Ordered a new ignitor and if that doesn't work I will be ringing clifford to service the alarm at a price of £150. Still getting no fault codes. Engine turns over. Fuel pump runs.
  20. still trying to diagnose my starting issue. has become abit intermittent now. i have a brand new ignitor now, which i got for a very good price, on the way which hopefully will cure it. so just wanting to see what else i can check before i have to take to a garage or get clifford out to look at the immoblisier. eitherway doing that will cost me. i have time this weekend to look into properly. last weekend it started and ran all weekend unitl yesterday. manage to get it running and was fine for 60 odd mile trip to base. went to go out later that night and it wouldnt start again. looked today, did exactly what i did yesterday but no luck.
  21. I found a site that says you can test the cps by testing the resistance but I didn't really understand it. Could someone put it in simple terms for me please if the test is possible. Also if it is knakkered the best place to buy a new one
  22. Do the coil packs on a TT share a common earth?
