  4. Hi Everyone, posted up in August with how i was looking to purchase a supra twin turbo manual, FINALLY i have found and bought the car i've waited 6 years to be able to afford, AS WELL as being able to afford the insurance. I'M STOKED!! I am currently an assistant manager (looking to progress soon) of a company called merityre at the kingston branch and i live in chertsey, surrey (for any of you locals ) Anyway, I'm sure some people will love and some will hate but that's cars and that's what makes everyone different. And i am sure many of you have seen the car advertised about. Either way it cost me 10000 pound, Which is what my initial budget was so again very happy! It is a 1993 Supra SZ Aerotop, with a slight twist, It has a pre-vvti j spec twin turbo engine, with the good V161 6 speed gearbox all converted in japan by the way pre import. This car has recently had a full respray in bayside blue to an extremely high standard; it is in immaculate condition Basic performance upgrades pushing a healthy 420bhp at .9psi. It has: HKS SuperPower Air filter (probably going to change to an Apexi, if it will make any at all difference) HKS RS intake pipe Front mount intercooler Walbro Fuel pump 3” downpipe/Decat RSR Cat back exhaust HKS Fuel Cut Defender UK Spec 4pot Front/2pot rear brakes with grooved discs, uprated pads Tein Street Advance coilovers SuperPro Poly bushes Rota Grid 18” Wheels with Goodyear eagle f1's fitted (Changing the wheels as soon as i can) Bomex front bumper and skirts HID headlights Tinted rear windows Carbon bonnet wrap (debating taking it off) Retrimmed seats, leather and alcantara Alpine touch screen headunit with Bluetooth and Satnav Focal speakers Defi boost gauge with controller Clifford Alarm Performance wise it has everything that i was looking to originally do to it which has saved me some money, i do have long term plans though Photos arent great but here you go And the underside of a 21 year old car, pretty clean to be honest i can't complain. Thanks for looking people, glad to finally be an actual Supra owner!
  5. Hi Paul, I tried PM ing you but i am not allowed. Is this the expensive TI version you are talking about? I am looking to buy both decat pipes but both with 3" bore if possible. How much would i be looking at please including postage? Many Thanks for your reply Dave
  6. Hi guys, like the title says, im looking for a full 3" system for my soon to be supra and i can only find 2.5" around £100 to £150 or 3" TI at close to £400 on whifbitz. I realise that 2.5 is more than sufficient but i am thinking for the future and would much prefer a full 3" bore system. So just a 3" bore first decat with a half decent fit. Recommendations where i could find these? Thanks in advance Dave
  7. Possibly a stupid question but there isnt actually a maximum noise limit for uk roads is there? Its all down to possible complaints being made by people and wether the police think its excessive right? Has anyone here had any grief with police or people because the noise level?
  8. Dont hate me. I just want to confirm that the twin turbo twin decat nur spec r is only 102db as stated on the sticky. I realise this may sound stupid but the same setup on my sx produces over 120db, I know 6cl are smoother engines but can it really reduce the noise by a whole 20 decibels?!?!? My current sx exhaust is about 105db and I don't think its loud at all so id be overjoyed if it genuinely is only 102 on the supra. Thanks in advance Dave
  9. That's good at least makes life easier. Also I cant find the answer but what is the safest bhp do able from the stock 2jzgte Injectors and max figure the clutch can take before slipping baring in mind age use and abuse?
  10. Hi people, just want to double check but upto 500bhp with least lag and most torque I am right in thinking a full 3" system would be best or would anyone recommend a bigger bore? Is there a bhp limit where the 3" cant flow enough so would need a bigger bore? Thanks Dave
  11. Can someone please reply to my questions on my welcome post please, no one replied yet lol
  12. Thank you very much for the advice people. Kinda what I was expecting people to say just a company that can afford that many of just one car type seems like they must have a good income. I'll keep searching any how. Thank you again people!
  13. I have researched into this! All threads are quite old and trying to find my first supra this company appear to have near 30 supras in stock. I realise their old reviews are shocking due to "customer service" and other things and how we cant talk ill of this company. My question is have they proven themselves as a trustworthy trader upto this date or has nothing changed in peoples opinions regarding their vehicles. Thank you in advance people im just eager to get my first supra!!! hope you all understand! Dave
  14. Hi guys, signed up to the sight looking for as much info and advice as i can before i spend a bundle on my newest project/ dream car. Im an assistant manager for a london based company called Merityre so working on cars is part of my day to day life First things first, im looking for a setup more towards drifting than power down without an excessive figure and expense. My current car is a 200sx S14a which was always my second favorite car to the Supra in first place. my problem is at a current 300 BHP im looking at a good 2 - 3K for another 80 ish bhp to which the gearbox would be unreliable as would the engine or another 5k for a good power figure with a pure risky gearbox but half reliable engine lol. The supra however i hear very VERY good things about stock engines being able to take upto 600bhp and boxes over 500bhp on the 2jzgte so should be plenty for me! in other words now being 23 with a good set of no claims and an income i can finally afford the big boys toy. I am not looking for a record breaker, im sure 450 bhp will be plenty of power for me but the biggest importance is a high torque figure without stupid amounts of lag, so full boost by maybe 4500rpm LATEST. Important factors: Must be a manual Must be the twin turbo (going to single turbo it once i can afford it) unless i find a good single turbo one with reliable history Preferably a standard setup (however rare it may be to find) Questions: Is there much difference in uk to import spec and any flaws and benefits depending on which one? is there and benefits or weaknesses between the 5 speed and 6 speed box? How accurate are my max figures for the internals strength (baring in mind regular servicing and maintenance and very rarely abused)? Ive read some info about when decatting the exhaust that a restrictor ring needs fitting to prevent the turbos overboosting, is this the same with uk spec? Ive checked over the two pdf files regarding the differences in the mk4 and things to look for so have a basic understanding but i want the professionals to share their masterful knowledge and wisdom Any help would be muchly appreciated! Dave
