    when i removed my front bumper i found 2 hid boxes. thing is the lights arent brilliant, is it possible the importer swapped them for ordinary bulbs?

    thanks, now i see. adam, ive got the copper washers they came with the lines. i would now be temted to fit them myself, can i get one of those special spanners from halfrauds?

    just got my uk brakes fitted, but didnt have time to fit the braided lines. can anyone tell me how these fit? one end is obvious but the other is just a ring. am i missing any bits? gonna get them done professionally but just wanted to know if ive got everything. a pic would be good if anyones got one

    eyefi, i was told when i got the car it was remapped, i had a look and the ecu has a sticker on it saying "stream- tokyo powerhouse" on it. no-ones ever heard of it, so cant say for sure. if i fit the restrictor and a fuel pump do you think this will be safe? does the FMIC maybe have something to do with it lasting so far?

    eyefi, looks like i have been lucky so far, i will check the fuel pump at the weekend, i was planning to upgrade it anyway. how would i know if the ignition is retarded, it is still making a lot of power (360 at the wheels) and seems to run ok, although it is only on full boost every so often. and do i need a fuel pressure regulator?

    ok, i dont have the cats so a restricter ring is my only option. any idea where i can get one and how they fit? i does'nt seem right having a big free flowing exhaust then sticking a bung up it, but if its not going to affect the power thats ok. and then........nos!

    thanks very much for the help, very much appreiciated. can you tell if the fuel pump and injecters are uprated just by looking? the car has been run like this since import 2 years ago without problems (afaik) with me for 7 months.

    part no .for map senser is toyota 89421-12111. standard i think. also says denso. isthere anything else i can do to reduce the boost apart from a restricter ring?

    i bought the car like this. not sure about pump etc.the guy told me mixture was fine, i asked him about the pump etc he said this was not the problem. he was checking on his rolling road. thanks for the help, very grateful

    the exhaust is 3" all the way, injectors are grey? where is the map sensor?

    i dont really know what fuel pump or injectors i have, but he said fueling was fine, just too much boost, wet kit would add more fuel anyway as long as the pump is up to it. anyone know how much a boost controller is? i fancy the apexi one

    j spec, fmic, exhaust, ind kit, remapped ecu, no cats. wanted 75 bhp wet kit. he said higher octane fuel might help, used optimax with stp octane (dont think it did anything) booster. think its standard turbos

    just been to get nos fitted, but the guy wouldnt do it because there was detonation on full boost (1.55 bar), on his rolling road. he said it wasnt bad but was definatly there and nos would push it over the edge.i guess i should fit a controller and lower the boost, say 1.2/1.3 bar, any idea how much power this would loose?
