  1. pfiuuuu, i feel better.. I hope it will not cost me more than 10 000 yens... So, it is possible to repair it without seeing any differences ? I mean almost like it use to be before ? Anyway, i will learn from my mistake, the front is huge, i have to be careful. Thank you guys for your rapid answer !
  2. Hi guys ! Its a disaster ! when i parked my supra last day, the front lip hit the pavement and some paint went away ! omg the front part of the supra is damn long, i have been surprised... Do you have any idea of what could i do ? And how much it can cost to me ? Unfortunately, i don't have the skills to repair it myself. the scratch is about 1 inch size, its a small one, and there is no deformation on the body itself, but i have no idea if its possible to repair this. Any help would be very welcome. Maybe i should upload a picture, so you guys can tell me what do you think ?
  3. Thanks everyone for all your comments. To be honest, modifications will come a little bit later if i have the money because i am actually minus 500000¥ lol. Thanks but i don't want to go in Nagoya again, i live in Tokyo and its like 4 hours if the traffic is fluid. For the garage that know supra well, i have 3 in my mind. Amuse, Top Secret or TRD. They both know Supra very well. Btw, the boost is really an issue in my car ? Maybe this is me not driving properly the Supra ? This is my first sport car (and first turbo car), so i may have the driving habit of a more standard car ? I am not sure, but i think the beep occur when i push slowly the accelerator for a long time and then accelerate full throttle. I don't think it occur when i go full throttle directly after i shifted a gear. But i need to confirm that..
  4. @Dnk, i see, nice one. @clapyohandz I live in the east part of Tokyo. A very quiet town. 南砂町(Minamusinamachi). Or should i say quiet until i got my Supra lol.
  5. That looks great ! Are the blue part painted? The blue 2JZ look very stylish! Are parts and tube painted for better visual clarity? Anyway, i am so happy to own a Supra now, and also very happy to have join this community
  6. Luxluc, Dnk, Thank you for taking time to explain to me. It is still a little bit hard for me to understand 100 % of what you are saying.. So, that mean that i have to rememve that HKS red stuff ? I wonder why the previous guy installed it then.. Unfortunately, i am not good enough in mechanics to remove it myself. I will have to ask to someone. About the boost controller its an EVC that looks like this. http://www.jscspeed.com/images/catalog/category789_thumb_full.jpg Yes, the beep is not fuel cut but the warning from HKS controller. When you say fuel cut, do you mean the rev limiter ? When you go over some rpm it automatically stop ? About the decatted stuff i am not sure 100%, so maybe if i take pictures of the muffler it will help. Again, please wait until next Saturday for pictures, i will do my best. Thank you again for your explanations !
  7. Are you sure about that ? Then why this HKS induction kit exist ? To make more noise ? Sorry i don't know what mean decatted ? For the boost, i don't know exactly, i have to confirm that, but the seller told me that the peak of the boost was 1.2 And sometimes, when the boost go over 1.2 (after a hard acceleration) the boost peak make a "biiip" noise. I guess its to prevent the engine to overheat ? I really need to know more about my car and "car mechanic" in general. If you guys can wait until next Saturday, i can take more pictures of the engine, and what i have inside the car, the boost level etc... Its my first sport car and cars like supras are modified a lot, so i guess its safer to know what's going on !
  8. Oh, i see, so the red thing on the left is the air intake ? This is what make me hear the turbo more right ? I read that the air intake bring fresh air in the combustion engine. Doesn't the intercooler do the same job ? Anyway, now i understand why my Supra is close to stock perfs. Its good like that! So i can tune it later if i want too. Thanks for the informations guys.
  9. Thanks all for your welcome and answers! So, that mean that my supra still have the stock Twin Turbo in it right ? But i heard that the stock twin turbo and the bov sound is almost silent in the supra ? But in my car, i can hear it very clearly, so i though something new was installed.
  10. Here is a picture that has been taken from the shop. If the quality is not good enough, i can make pictures on my own next week end. http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/4397/0200077a20120706w00211.jpg
  11. Hey ! I know ! But the previous owner made some modifications as i epxplaned above, so i was wonderring if my supra became a single turbo ? Yeah, i'll post some pics very soon.
  12. Hi everyone ! I am a new supra owner, i am French and live in Japan. I received my Supra last Thursday, had the opportunity to test it this week end, and it felt very great! Sadly, i don't know too much about mechanics, and my knowledge in this domain are very poor. So i hope that you guys give me good tips. I bought a 97 Supra RZ 6 gears manual which has already a little bit more than 100 000 km. The exterior and interior are very clean for a 97 car, and we can see than the previous owner really take care of the car. Also, i don't know exactly if my car is Single Turbo or Twin Turbo. I know that the engine is stock, there is an air cleaner from HKS, a Boost Controller from hks "AVC Boost Controller" and an Intercooler. From the guy in the shop, the car deliver something like 350-400 HP but i have to test in on a dyno to verify that. I will take some photos of the Engine, and interior, so you guys can explain me a little bit more what settings i have. Also, as it is the first sport car that i drive, i am not really use to rev the engine very high. (Even if i love the sound hehe) What is exactly the recommended shifting position for a car like that ? When do you guys shift in general when you are in an everyday street use ? Sorry about my bad English, and sorry about the simple questions. Thank you in advance for your help.
  13. Dude, your supra looks awesome ! I just love it ! Most of the time we are used to see supra with the full body kit of one tunning brand, but this one as many different kit on it, it make it a little bit special and unique looking. I also love these white rims on the white body color. It give it a good racing feeling. May i ask you what is the brand of the rims ? Cheers! Forget my bad English...
  14. Hey ! Thanks for your answers ! Please lead me to Jurgen @j_jza80 I just saw Global Auto Japan, It looks like the models here are a little bit too much tunned and overpowered for what i am looking for. I am looking for a Supra that is as close as possible as the original one. In fact, i already saw some models that i like and that are close to what i am looking for on King Buyer, but its more about, should i trust them and are they serious sellers ? I read some comments on a Japanese forum, and some japanese people said that King Buyer was not that good about the service. I also hear that a guy just buyed a GT-R34 that had some big handling problems, and when he tried to ask for reparation or even a refund, they said that it was not possible. Its just one case, of course i do not know all the cases, that is why i am interested to hear anyone who had already bought a car at King Buyer.
  15. Hello everyone! I am happy to participate to this forum and i hope we can exchange a lot of good informations about this great car. My name is Julien, i am French and live in Japan for 3 years now. I am planning to buy a Supra very very soon, i have all the good condition to do so, but i still did not found the Supra that i want yet. Maybe i can get some good input from you guys. Some of you may know King Buyers in Japan ? I went to King Buyer near Urayasu station with a Japanese friend, and i don't know what to think about their sincerity. The cars looks very well polished from outside, but i would like to know what you think about your own experience, if you had the opportunity to buy a Supra at this shop. (I know that they also export abroad ?). Please forgive my non native English. Anyway, i am glad to have join this forum !
