CAT A = scrap only, no useable parts, probably burnt out

CAT B = can be used as parts but chassis needs to be disposed of

CAT C = Car completely unrepairable, insurer pays out

CAT D = damaged to the exctent of uneconomical repair, insurer pays out

CAT F = fire damaged un repairable.

Thanks for all the info peeps - I have been reading up on this and it seems HD will future proof, there seems to be a 20% increase in picture quality against non HD and like people have suggested not much HD transmition is happening at the moment. Some websites even suggest that a good quality non HD eg Panasonic/Sony/Pioneer will out perform el-cheapo HD.

Price difference wise there seems to be about £350-£ 500 difference.

dude the standard plasmas I have seen seems pretty dam good though and there seems to be about a £400 difference between HD and non HD is it defo worth the difference? I cant really tell TBH when I run a dvd through both
