Lewis seemed to have plenty of pace left to pull away if the time was right, so I don't think the Mercedes win was ever in question. Fairly sure 99% of drivers would have done the same in that position, including Nico.

In regards to Hamilton getting penalised, sadly I think it's pretty much a guarantee. Toto Wolff back in September:

“There are certain rules that are important because they are about sportsmanship and the way we want the team to perform and that doesn’t change whether we have won the Constructors’ or not.”

Although im a Hamilton fan i'd expect Lewis not getting a penalty is due to the nature of the corner and what he did.

 

For example.

 

When Max went into the corner he made no attempt to even try and make the corner he just put in a straight line and went for it.

 

However when Hamilton missed the corner if you watch the on-board, he tried to turn to make the corner but then over-steered quite a bit and ended up on the grass, only at that point did he take the grass option.

 

Between that and being first and ending up first (as rosberg said himself) i expect that's why he got away with it.

Fair point, but I think the rules are if you leave the track and gain an advantage then you're open for punishment.

Lewis left the track and gained around 50 yards. Max done the same and gained next to nothing. The gap was pretty much the same as they exited turn 3 if I remember right. Even when the Race Engineer said to "give the place back", they said that it was the wrong call as he hadn't actually gained an advantage and Vettel wasn't attempting an overtake into turn one when Max made the mistake.

I just don't see how you can give one person a penalty and not the other for making the same mistake. I've not watched the footage again, but if I remember it right Max clearly slowed as he went along the grass and ended up level with Vettel, but Lewis just lifted and ended up a fair distance ahead and (as far as I can tell) only slowed when the SC was deployed.

Max getting a penalty and Lewis not is a joke (and I want Hamilton to win). Lewis gained at least 50yds and only slowed for the SC. The only reason Max got that penalty was Vettel and Ferrari throwing the toys out the pram.

I can understand Vettels comments though. In the heat of the moment, it would be easy to forget the world is listening and allow your frustrations to get the best of you.

I would go with black calipers and some new supra decals.

Removing or reversing the blue flag wouldn't and shouldn't happen in my opinion.

What you want is for it to be optional rather than mandatory, with no penalty if you choose to ignore it.

I still see no benefit to it though. I think most drivers would still choose to move over. Fighting against another car that's effectively in a different race is just wasting time for both parties. As previously said, team orders will happen from time to time, but for the most part it would remain the same.

This happened to me a few years ago. Went fishing at Loch Lomond, left the car in one of the car parks and when we came back there was a tree resting on top of the car.

Strange thing was that there were bike slings attached to the tree. Looked like someone had deliberately pulled it down on top of the car for no reason. Thankfully there wasn't much damage.

Never good, but at least there isn't too much damage!

Great game, although I could see it getting boring after time if you're not playing in a team.

DLC looks like it might actually be worth buying for once. The free Incursion mode update sounds good, but "challenging" mode on the daily missions is already hard enough. I'm guessing you'll need high end gear to stand any chance of getting through them.
