Just seen this thread, can't believe this guy is still in business. Took my mkiv n/a to him about 3 yrs ago to have the cooling system checked because the heater wasn't working. Picked it up the next day & it was a different car, misfiring, wouldn't accelerate + heater still didn't work. He said it was dampness & it would be fine after a good run once it dried out? He'd flushed the cooling system out and completely soaked the engine in the process.

After a week it was the same, took it back to my usual garage (Woodcock Hill, Surrey) who found that the front cat was completely knackered and the plugs were sitting in water, took them quite a few hrs to put it right.

You might need to purchase POI Warner though, something like it is included in version 5.

Dudes! Brought tomtom3 with the 2210 + car kit etc. V.smart piece of kit, quite impressed with it. Have downloaded the safety camera database from the link above which works but doesn't give me an audio warning, instead just displays the little camera icon as you're approaching it. Is there a way of configuring the settings to do this or do I need POI Warner? Anyone know if I can download this free anywhere? Costs about 20 euros which isn't much but free would be better

I meant to add that TomTom 5 isn't worth bothering with IMHO.

TT3 is much easier to use, is more user-configurable and has a speedo display that is readable, rather than the 3mm high digits used it TT5.

So sounds like tomtom 3 is worth going for, he wants £100 for the bluetooth sat receiver, s/w & 2210 cradle, worth it? Cost him £250.

Mate at work brought this for £200 not so long ago (maybe 6 months) and has asked if I want to buy it. Any idea how much this is worth? It's the one designed to run on a pda via bluetooth (which I'll have to buy as well).

Also can you load up the camera detecting database on this version? & is this s/w free? Sorry about all the qu's, I'll only consider buying it if tells you where the cameras are as well as sat nav.

Def go facelift mate, I did, IMO gives the soop a much more modern sophisitcated look.

Sorry if this sounds dum but what is ment by 30:1 and 50:1

Check http://www.f9.net.uk/support/features/contention_guide.shtml, basically the bandwidth provided is shared with other users, ie. 30:1 = sharing with 29 other users, 50:1 with 49 other users. So 50:1 is slower than 30:1.

Sorry the 30:1 contention at 2mb has a 1gig download limit. It's £1 per gig u want on top. Or you can get 2mb at 50:1 contention with unlimited download. Or pay £21.99 for 2mb 30:1 unlimited download. Don't download much myself so went with the 1gig limit. It's lightning fast & customer service is spot on.

Very nice supra that, but then I would say that cause it's the same as mine , excpet yours is a genuine facelift whereas mine just has facelift lights & indicators. Good choice mate

I've suggested he trade his 325i in for a moped but he's not having any of it + he won't fork out for a road angel.

Anyway he's also received a £60 fine, he's heard that if he sends a payment for more than this he'll be owed a refund, apparently this is a glitch in the system because the refund for the difference is never made & hence the file stays open and he won't receive the points? I heard about this one quite a few years back so surely they're on top of this one?

Mate of mine has recently come over from the US and got his uk license about 3 months ago. Got himself a speeding ticket with 3 points for doing 36mph in a 30 zone. Since he's new from the US with his 1st uk license he's been told if he gets 6 points he may face suspension, can someone confirm? Also he's asking me if there's any glitch in the system whereby he can dodge the points?

Am looking to change the side repeaters & front indicators to clear ones, did a search for part no's & toyota came up with these prices on the side repeaters:

Celica/Clear side repeaters

2* Lamp Assy, side turn signal 81731-20220 £10.66 each + vat

2 * Indicator bulb 12v 5w 90981-15012 £2.17 each + vat

2 * Turn signal gasket 81732-20220 £1.44 each + vat

Total: £33.53 inc vat

Question is can you use the existing bulbs for the repeaters or will I need to buy the new ones? & take it the gasket is the same? Does anyone know where to get these cheaper?
