*Long post, sorry!* Just bought my first house and have only just started doing it up, managed to strip the wallpaper (and some of the plasterboard on my kitchen wall...) so far. Saturday morning I look out of the window to see two MPVs pull up and about 20 blokes jump out and knock on every door on the street. Turns out they are from Anglian Home Improvements and the rather keen salesman offers me a free quote on getting new soffits and fascias. Fine, whatever I say, keen to get rid of him. Two hours later, the soffit man turns up and goes through the sales spiel before measuring up my house. Much teeth sucking ensues as he tells me that I have asbestos soffits (it's a 70s build, so possible) and that my fascias are about to fall apart (they do look a bit tatty). Starts telling me that I could b sitting in the garden and suddenly asbestos fibres will attack me and I'll die or the fascia will collapse, killing and maiming anyone in a 1 mile radius (something like that). I declined to have the work done, even at their special 'showhome' price (), but how concerned should I be about asbestos soffits and how much is a reasonable amount to pay to get new fascias and soffits installed? Thanks guys!

Movie adaptation fail Just can't see this being any good, at all, no matter how much I would like it to be cool. It just won't be. No one apart from fanboys are going to see it anyway so why try and make it more mainstream? It just ruins it imho. I'm sure people will say the cartoon is too far fetched to turn into a live action movie but I disagree, I think if they had the balls to go all out it would be far more entertaining and successful. This is a shoddy halfway house and I reckon it's going to be an embarassment. Some half decent special effects and a kamehameha or two aren't enough. From what I've seen so far, I'd much rather watch some of the frankly excellent fan-made live action stuff on YouTube, which really captures the spirit of the cartoons. The only way this live action version will be any good is if it's bad enough to be funny but it looks like it's going to be taking itself far too seriously and screwing with the whole DB universe in the process. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't think it's going to happen. And relax Edited to add that I just watched the trailer again and it's even worse second time around. Just so bad, this is going to be absolutely awful *sigh*

Ah, lack of sleep, sounds about right. Don't want to take anything thing for it too soon though because in the past when I've had shivers it's turned out to be food poisoning and that doesn't work with Lemsip too well.

Colds just kind of creep up on you and you wake up and start feeling grotty but I can't recall ever having the shivers like this with just a cold.

In the last hour or so I've started shivering really badly, my hands have gone cold and my skin's tingling. I felt fine this morning and it's really come out of nowhere. I ate exactly the same food as my mum all weekend and I just spoke to her and she feels fine so I'd like to think it's not food poisoning. Any ideas what it could be?

Actually the Wii is only 480. 720p is considered to be better for watching non-HD things such as TV, but 1080p comes into its own on a bigger TV. It's worth it now seeing as 1080p prices have fallen, it's more commonplace and it's future-proofing. When you do get your telly, you want the settings roughly like this for the most natural image: Brightness 45% Contrast 65% Colour 50%
