As per first post, we aren't sure if we will be running any more due to the increase in costs . We make very little out of these days so if we aren't sure we can fill them at the higher price it really isn't worth the risk

It's wide enough that you can generally spin and stay on the tarmac but there are some plastic barriers on some corners so it makes sense to push hardest on the bits where there's the most room!

We’re off playing on the Oulton Park drift stages again, this time it’s on Saturday March 13th and of course all MKIV OC members are invited along.

This is a bit of what we get up to –

This is a great fun event and a good way to learn how your car reacts when it runs out of grip. As an extra bonus, even after a full day drifting, the low friction surface on the drift stages at Oulton give virtually zero tyre wear!

List price for this one is £140 for the day but we are doing the usual members rate of £120, extra drivers can sign in for £35 and passengers for a tenner. Free instruction is included so it's no problem if you haven't tried it before - if you'd like to come along please shout up on here and I'll PM you the booking details and a discount code .

PS We have been told by Oulton that they will be increasing the hire cost for the venue this year, they have agreed to charge us for the March day at the 2009 price but if we run any more days there this year it will probably cost around an extra £30 per head so make the most of this price whilst you can!

Quick bump on this one as we are now fully booked for our Brands day in Feb and looking towards cadwell in March

The list price for this event is £150 but as ever we are doing a special rate for the clubs that we work with to run these days and we’ve frozen last years price so you can book a place for just £125. Passengers can be booked in for a tenner and extra drivers for £35.

If you haven’t been to Cadwell before it’s one of the best circuits in the country, fast and flowing in some places, tight and twisty in others and with some gradient changes that you won’t believe until you have driven them - a fantastic trackday venue.

Here’s a few shots from Cadwell last year

We are down to the last dozen spaces for this one now so if anyone else wants to book in, probably best do it soon!

For anyone wanting to stop locally overnight we've got a deal with the hotel that's right next door. £60 for single B&B or £70 for two of you.

This is at the THISTLE BRANDS HATCH, we have got some rooms on hold for the Thursday night so to book one please phone Stephanie Keep on 01474 855 700 quoting TAOL040210. After 21st Jan they will no longer be reserved so it's just down to if they have any rooms left - to check phone the same number and quote "Track Rate of £60 BB" to get the reduced price. At the moment there is a block of rooms reserved for another function on the Friday night so they currently have no availability but if they are not confirmed by the 22nd Jan they will become available as well for anyone who wants to stop the night after the event.

Always possible but we are at Oulton on Friday for a trackday so we won't have any web info after tomorrow night. I think you are pretty local so if you wanted to come over on the day then you may just end up spectating but if there's a space available I'll be happy to get you in. If you were to land late morning then there's always a fair chance that something will have broken during the first few hours and we could sign you in for the afternoon.

If you come and find me then you'll have to remind me about this - I've got a goldfish memory!

Sorry, these days tend to get booked up a week or two before the event, I'd expect the same next year as Oulton are limiting the number of days that can be run on the drift courses.

Just a quick heads up that we will be running at trackday at Cadwell on March 26th with a club rate of just £125 .

It will be the usual open pit, free instruction setup that we always do on our club events and you'd be welcome to join us! More details to follow but shout up on here if you are interested!

2010 is nearly with us so we are looking forward to the new season and we’re starting in the south this year with a Trackaction-Online club day at Brands Hatch on Feb 5th.

This will be an open pitlane trackday on the Indy circuit with a 105db noise limit. As usual we will be limiting the numbers to ensure that everyone gets plenty of tracktime and we will have free instruction available for any drivers that want it.

Brands is a great circuit, fast, flowing and very challenging so well worth a visit and we’ve got the usual club pricing available. The list price for the day is £150 but we’ve agreed a club rate of £125; passengers can be signed in for £10 and extra drivers for £35, garages can be pre-booked for £20.

Thanks to the support of clubs and forums like yours we’ve had a great 2009 and we’re hoping to carry that into next year so if you’d like to come along you can book HERE, if you post up on this thread I’ll PM you the discounted booking code.

Well we had a pretty slippery day at Oulton on Friday but I guess that was to be expected in November! Greasy in the morning followed by a dry line after lunch and then it rained to give us a proper wet track!

Very pleased to see that despite the conditions and having a few red flags along the way that everyone seemed to have a good time and we managed to keep up our main aims of good behaviour on track and little or no queues to get on there. Big thanks to all the drivers that came along and made it such a good day, hopefully we’ll see you all at some more events next year!

Sorry I haven't been posting up on this thread, I'd over-run my posting limit as a non-member but SteveR has sorted it for me to be able to post so long as we keep giving out the club discounts .

Oulton is now fully booked but you would be welcome to come down on the day and say hello, we will be running a driftday at Oulton on Dec 19th which I'll stick a thread up for and there will be more track and drift events in the new year .

I didn't see the first spin on the esses but I could see the smoke from the other end of the paddock .

I'm annoyed I keep not being able to attend these events.
