  1. so what you are saying is that it doesn't have a V6 ?
  2. Welcome mate The Search button will help you out loads, more than I can anyway
  3. Its the same with any car Veilside have ever done My Rex was a Veilside Kitted car, since found out its a Cwest Front, Wingwest sides, Veilside rep Spoiler, unknown spats The importer who shall remain nameless told me (in my ignorant newbie state) that it was a full Veilside Dave
  4. For some stupid reason, even though I know its playing the game just as that guy wants it, I have just read that entire thread. I don't know what the hell is being talked about in most of it and references to various US people who "started the movement" don't mean much to me. But what I will say is that the guy Mark who I gather is the owner of Suprastore seems to be intent on making himself look like a fool. I read one minute that he helped a orphaned child and then the next it transpires that he once insulted a prospective customer because his grammer in his email enquiry was not up to scratch. (all claims by posters to the site of course, I have no basis for believing any of it) Amazingly the only people with any constructive input were banned, how does that make anyone want to spend money with the guy ! Although it is generating a lot of hits and unfortunately the way this world works is any publicity is good publicity, though I can't see how anyone would spend money with Suprastore after reading through that load of crap
  5. can't be CAT 1 for that price can it ?
  6. I have a CLifford 300, its CAT 1 and does exactly what it says on the tin You can get Remote start etc options for it As long as you get someone who knows what they are talking about to fit the alarm you'll be fine
  7. When I bought my rx-7 I had a RAC inspection done The best bit was that he advised me that the big dent in the roof, possibly caused he said by someone sitting in the middle of it would be very costly to fix He obviously didn't look at the 5 or so Rx-7s parked next to mine all displaying the same roof design
  8. Patrick I got a NIP for 95 in a 60, I filled in the form and said I was driving. The next letter I received was my court summons and a photo showing the offence. it was from the back of the car so I could not be identified, but I had already filled the form in You have two options, speak to a experienced brief and see about getting out of it (my brief said I shouldn't have filled the initial form in and just given it to him and he would have sorted it) Option Two, avoid the hassle and pay the 60 notes If you go to court it totally out of your hands what you get, I got bent over as soon as they saw a picture of a sports car, and a young lad in front of them Just my 2p
  9. I think Newera have a good enough rep on here from what I have read previously Personally I was interested how the VVti works so cheers for the info
  10. er so lnowing didly squat about VVTI is this statement correct ? "VVTi models are equipped with variable valve timing, which gives greater urge at higher revs, as the cam lobes are changed to open valves for longer duration, thus improving breathing."
  11. yep good place, although I had to talk to andy when I was there which put me off a bit
  12. technically yes, but its their discretion as to how helpful they want to be
  13. from past experience I know not all companies charge you
  14. Get a decent brief and don't worry about it too much mate, happens to the best of us Dave
  15. You could take out a policy for 12 months then cancel after a few days, don't all insurance policys have to come with a 7 day get out clause and you don't lose any money ? or get yourself and it addedd to a relatives/friends policy
  16. until it runs out of fuel, so just don't carry too much

  21. its all to do with various schemes the brokers are given, some are given the high performance risks and others are not allowed to do it some brokers can underwrite their own policies as well, but generally with performance cars they have to get the ok from the underwriters
