Hey all, as my supra will soon be crossing the 150.000 km mark, i want to chance some of the critical parts in the brakingsystem.
So naturally i searched the site here for answers, as i think to recall someone chrashing his supra caus of a failure in some braking cable, the hard ones as i recall - I have however not been able to find the specific thread - Can anyone help me plz, i would bery much appreciate it!
And also, a link to where they can be bought, pref. on ebay!?? Or just some place that ships to mainland.
I dont think they are the same as the ones that is mentioned above, failing!
And last but not least - Mine is a n/a J-spec from 93 - with the normal brakedisk - Does anyone have a link to where or just the sizes i need in pads and disk - Ive found The green and yellow stuff - But i cant seem to find what i need!
Hoping for alot of good answer, as always:)
Thx in advance ladies and gents!

Clearly you have done the right thing(or was it the all wrong one.....!?) to ask all of us inhere - I take it, it because u already know the answers u will be getting, and just need confirmation......If u start giving in to her demands already - then u will soon be driving a Peugeot Partner og dare i say it.........a Berlingo!!!!!!!!

Best of luck! U will never forget the moment :0)

Norway win the vision, gets handed the trophy, has it 3 seconds and breaks it, legend!
What happened? did they drop the thing on stage, or?

Who ever listened to Mosley? that man has never had a sound mind - They are killing the sport, and have been for some time now! This is not any sport, its the pinnacle of man/machine, and as such we demand to c the best - Ofcourse the F1 could live on without Ferrari, but it would in no degree be as interesting as it was/is.
In my opinion, it seems like FIA are making one mistake after another!

I also dont understand if your all balancing the tip of your finger, how a china mug can literally fly off the table to the other side of the room. I was surprised it didnt smash it, thats how quick it moved,
I have "a spirit" like that aswell at home, its called misses....She can move china around with the speed of light....and no matter her degree of rage, shes always able to pick the old china first......

your right, think its something like 15mm they can be adjusted, aint much.....but its a possibility.

I looked at different ones when i wanted to change mine, looked at HKS, Tein and Koni, ended up going for Koni, as price, warranty and quality had the best match. 5 years warranty, price was just about 400 uk punds(bought in DK ofcourse - for coilovers to both front and rear), 5 years warranty and when it comes to quality, something like 90% of all high speed trains uses Koni and ofcourse not to forget, the Mclaren F1 cars......Should be good enough for my supe :0)

im going to be like bugs bunny on the moon with this car
Welcome! Nomatter what model u end up with, u will love it - But as it is said, u should ofcourse go for the model u really want/wanted to begin with, dont settle - If its possible not to!
I have an J-spec auto n/a, and its a lovely car, fast enough for me, although i try not to get tempted into trying an TT, as i "fear" for the outcome
Regarding the autotransmission in the supe, its really reliable, and if u dont mind driving an auto(some of us actually prefer it, have it in both my cars), well then it shouldnt keep u from it:)
Again, welcome, and happy hunting - i envy u:)

:dUsually located at the side of the car, hence the name "side markers"!

Hey all, im really hoping that u can help me with this! I have a pair of rims that a m8 wants to use. Only problem is, that the centre of the rims is 54.1 and his car needs rims that are minimum of 58.1...!
Usually its no problem to if the rims cetner is bigger, then u can just put in some rings, to make the hole fit the cars measurements.
But what about the other way around? Is it maybe possible to do anything the other way around . With some spacers maybe!?
Thx in advance
Regards Mikkel

Some of u talk about cleaning the Co2 sensors, of which the mkiv have 2, if i remember correctly! They are easy to reach and get out - BUT, regarding the cleaning part - How do u guys do that? Im asking caus i dont want to damage the sensors - So was hoping someone might explain how they did! Mechanical? With solvents, did u completely remove the sensors etc.!?

Hey all! I have for sometime now, had a suspesion that my Supra was using more Petrol than it should!
I currently only getting around 5-6 km pr. ltr.(6km = 3,72 miles)
And that is, a far as i have discovered, way to little! Should be getting 7-10 km ( 4,35 - 6,21 miles)!
Or, am i way off?
If im not, what could be the reason to the high petrol consumption? the car is running well, no problems that im aware of! It got a "new" engine(n/a) 1 year ago, aswell as a "new" transmisson(auto).!
And last but not least, how far does your Supras run on a tankfull? its around 60 ltr. in a tank or so, isnt it! lol, not really knowing, as i go by the mileage indicater in the car, everytime im at the gasstation!
Thx in advance!
Regards Mikkel

Btw the other thread is this one, if anyone wants to know what its all about:
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=175000&highlight=keyless&page=2

Evening all! Yesterday i posted in a thread i made some time ago, regarding keyless entry systemm however noone replied!
Im suspect it wasnt the best place, so im making a new thread, as its kinda important for me to know, if anyone has knowledge about how to programm keys for keyless entry system.
So here goes:
I got the remote from http://www.keylessride.com, along with the programming instructions, called activation procedure #645!
However, i cant seem to match the instructions(and the receiver they suggest/think is installed in the Supra - the one under the drivers seath) with the one installed in my mkiv.
Theres a black/white "handdrawn" picture of the receivers box one the paper with the instructions, however, as stated above, it looks nothing like the one found under the drivers seat in my mkiv, as the one they are showing and refering to, has 3 connector slots, no aerial exit and a little programming switch/button on the side of the box(its like a little whole where u press and hold with like a pencil or similar object!) IM really sorry, i would have scanned the instructions, but for some reason, my canon is acting up.
Now, the receiver box, udner the drivers seat in my mkiv has only one connecters slot besides the aerial entry/exit(the antenna one), other than that, it has absolutely no entryes/connectors.
Therefore im thinking the problem could be, well alot of thing, but mainly 3 scenarios comes to mind:
1. That they are refering to another box, than the one under the drivers seat. Could it maybe be the keyless entry ECU they are talking about?
2. The instructions are for the Supras equipped with the RS3000 dealer or port installed option (PIO), not the factory security system(whatever that means!?)
3. As my Supra is a 93 Jap spec. and i ordered the key to one such on keylessride, however u do not type in specific model, could it be ive gotten the instructions for the earlier model from 93(not mkiv)! from Im sorta hoping this is the case!
I know that my questions might not be the easiest the answer, as u guys cant the the instruction, the drawing of the receiver box and all, but im hoping, that maybe someone else has had a similar experience, when trying to get new remotes for the entry system.
As soon as im able to get the Activation procedure scanned, ill post them here so they can be of use for others - But for now, ill just write the 6 steps, maybe someone will know if its actually the right procedure for the mkiv or not, so here goes
Avtivation Procedure #645 Toyota Supra
1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position(as far as you can go without cranking the engine)
2. Using a pen or pencil, press and hold the receiver PROGRAMMING BUTTON for 3 seconds. The STATUS MONITOR LED or vehicle exterior (tail and marker) lights will light up solid for 5 seconds.
3. Press and release the transmitters TOP or BOTTOM button for one second and release(This should be performed within the 5 seconds that the STATUS MONITOR LED or exterior lights is lit solid)
4. The STATUS MONITOR LED turns off, the vehicle chirs once and/or the exterior lights flash once to confirm succesful programming.
5. Turn OFF the ignition and remove the key
6. Exit the vehicle and test remotes(s) for function
7. To program additional NEW remotes, repeat procedure.
Yep, thats is, thx in advance all, really hoping someone knows alot more than me about this, and is willing share his or hers knowledge :0)

O2 Sensors + are they the same?
in mkiv Technical
Posted
Hey all, im gonna order a new O2 Sensor, looked at a Denso one, is this an okey brand?
Also, it says on the site where im gonna buy it, if its okey that is, that the sensor is the rear one, as in the one mounted after the cat - But isnt the 2 sensors the same? reason im asking is, that if im not mistaken, the sensor that need to be replaced, is the one thats mounted before the cat, as the other one is "just" reading for exhaust values/pollution...!?
PLz correct me if im wrong:)
Thx alot, regards Mikkel
