    Morning

hi guys, dont know if youve been folowing the thread but my dream has been shattered.....for now mwah ha ha ha lol Im on the hunt for a sweet ride, 3L TT Manual if anyone knows of one going for under £8k
  3. Dont know if this helps....... All works wer caried out by Turbofit Uk LTD, Supra specialist, and im sure if i call them the owner will be happy to give you a call nd go through all works and power output with you. My car was a non turbo, the new block was a twin turbo item, but the T.T and N.A blocks are both the same ne way. Think ive resigned to the fact of walking from a munter unless someone suddenly says grab it lol. The car is up for £7600, when standards are selling for around £6-8k That was the first alarm bell. Second was the fact he didnt proove any paperwork when i went for a look, even though i was there for an hr. 3rd bell and the clincher......If everything is true, all those big power gains, why isnt it on some forum or somewhere like pistonheads for sale where everyone can view it and pick faults or compliment it. Think i'll start my long process of elimination again for a decent one. Huge thanks to you lot, if it wernt for you guys Id probably be at the side of a road somewhere cursing it in a few mths.
  4. yeah soz he sent 2 emails, half in each. Ive asked him again for pics of engine bay and if he can provide proof of all the above and dyno and 1/4mile printouts, aswell as who did the work and when. Would i be wrong in saying i should be happy if he can provide written proof/receipts and printouts? Afterall, standard 3L TT manuals aint much cheaper

  6. cheers for the headsup guys, will look into it a hell of alot more
  7. can anyone find the previous thread where this was talked about?
  8. you sound like that voice thats been nagging me in the back of my head lol. Think he said the engine and box work was done by ultimate velocity or someone like that
  9. please do, im feeling prety low now lmao
  10. lol yeah im starting to get that sinking feeling for some strange reason. Remember though, the box has been uprated and rebuilt. O well, beter now than after the deals done
  11. o god ok now im really out of it! cant recal him saying it was a mk3 box. was talking plenty about making the engine upto 1000bhp but didnt want that and was happy with it as is. But that could be just the engine side of things not the box engine pics....will do
  12. sorry if im getting this wrong, i am a newbie afterall lol its defo a 5speed box, said it was stronger than the 6 and beter acceleration I should be getting the list later on, can confirm it all then fingers crossed
  13. single turbo converted TT lump im led to believe
  14. lol was waiting for that. Basically its an auto box aerotop, thinks its the RZ?? Then had a GZ twin turbo lump and box fitted into it coz he wanted the aerotop look so bad but the GZ lump. Then spent a whole lot of money on a supra specialist up country to upgrade it all to 600bhp. I think thats the right way round?
  15. thats what i thought but said it was the loss of top end (no 6th and 180mph) that was the diff, again Im not going to buy unless he can proove what hes saying. Im also going to get my mate (toyota mech) to have a look at it with me one day before parting with the cash. And agreed on the spoiler, hes got one and if its any good il be adding it lol. Ive seen under the hood and theres quite alot of evidence of work, either way though it flies and barring anything major I still think its worth it even if its running 450 or so. Looking on pistonheads theres a vaguely similar one for £14k and this is much cheaper, hense my reservations about it, but im like a kid in a candy shop and cant stop being excited. Help me guys
  16. nothings been handed over as yet, but if youve got some gossip id be very appreciative. Any chance of a link to that thread? Hes sending me a spec list later tonight of whats been done
  17. Well fingers crossed, in the next few weeks i should be taking delivery of this little beaut.......(soz for crappy pics) 1993 Toyota Supra mk4 JZA80 3L Single Turbo 5speed GZ Aerotop 5mths tax, 11mths MOT 100k miles, new engine done 7k + recent service history £18k spent in last 12mths on engine and box (manual TT lump and box and single turbo conversion) Uprated internals, box and clutch 658bhp, 11sec 1/4mile Full GReddy stand alone management Tein springs Veilside and Blitz bodywork with smoothed rear Top Secret carbon vented bonnet Full one-off leather retrim very expensive and rare 19in alloys and 4 good tyres DVD player, windows tinted, de-ariel'd, de-spoilered and a very long expensive engine spec!! No smoke from cold start, everything sounds sexy and looks great, and OMG does it fly!!! Currently running around 450bhp with low boost but easily switchable to full-on (though I think il take my time on that one!) That was 3hrs ago and im still grinning like hell We talked it over, agreed a price and he's keeping hold of it till i source the funds in a few weeks. omg im so excited!!!!
