like you say make a punch , do some on the off cuts first , once youve got the hole , get something thin and stick it to the back of the carpet so you have something to glue the punched bit to .

yes your right it is effective on short pile , never did it a thick one . punching is a good idea should work , have you got a punch

ok db , fxxxxd up all day yesterday , yes sainaburys is only down the road from me , so is convenient . if you go to halfords for the redex its about £7.99, i get mine in wilkinsons for £3.19 which is a good saving , exactly the same stuff. there is a shell station about five mile , i tried the optimax stuff after everyone raving about it , and didnt find any difference at all. but i drive my supe like a pussy so maybe thats why i didnt see any change . talking about change , there wasnt any of that either lol£
