  4. the size is 68mm, i had run approx 5-600miles like that, pulling 30-40times from 40 to 160miles per hour. i dont hear any knock by my hears, and some friend that sits on my car never hear something wrong.
  5. my aim was more to have a warning if there's a real problem concerning knock
  6. one thing i forget to mention is that i'm running a UK car, so the ECU is not the same than the jdm one, the OEM timing are different than the jdm, and ready to run on SP95ron
  7. i'm gonna try to take some pics, one of my friend got a bore scope with a camera on it so i will test it in the week!
  8. thanks for your help if it get any damages, i'm gonna start a full rebuild on it, throw my mapecu in my garage, and buy a emanage or something like... Hopes it don"t get det marks...

  10. With driving with the oem timing i was thinking that the only risk was to lose power but not broken an engine , no?
  11. Why? Can you explain me? Can adjustable pulley changes that? I have seen some supra cars rollling with mapecu1 without problems I wont go more than 520hp at crank

Hi! i'm worrying about knocking with my car ( a uk single with 850cc) I'm boosting at 1.4bar-1.5bars with a XS T70 and running at 11.0 AFR (with a mapecu1 so cannot play with the advance/retard of timing) I'm never get a CEL flashing while rolling and boosting up to the max of RPM so i think that the OEM knock sensor doesn't hear a problem. But my question is : can we trust the OEM Sensor?? i have seen that some knock light are available (like gizzmo or turboXS), are they more reliable than the oem? is there any interest of buying one? or my OEM one will do correctly his job and warns me when there 's a real problem?? Many thanks

  14. the sparks plugs are NGK BKR8EIX , having 2000miles on it coil clips are ok, i have changed one or two i have 6 coil packs in stock but i would prefer mount it in my new engine, so that's why i wanted to know if they can be the source of my problem before changing them

Hello whats are the symptoms of defective coilpacks? loss of power? in fact, i'm in a single turbo setup, one of my friend 's got exactly the same than me, (same turbo, same injectors, same mapecu with the same map) and he 's running very harder than me. It burns in 2-3-4gear at 1.5bars, and mine get difficulties to burn in 2nd gear. A bpu car is just behind me (2-3cars behind). So i 'm searching what can be the cause of that. i have taken my compression and all seems ok, i'ive got 4cylinders at 10;5bars, one to 11 and one to 10 many thanks for helping me

  17. should be ok safely or near to broke? i don' t want to make mistakes because i don't want to reopen the block after 6months because of the rods i can spend a little more money but just want to be sure of what buying
  18. so you think it's not a good idea to put some new oem rods on it? i'd better put aftermarket ones? what brands of rods would you put in yours? (in a normal budget!!) thanks

Hello i'm in mind to rebuild my engine in a near future and i 'm running a single T67 with 850cc injectors. my hp is approx 550hp. i have bought a TT bottom end bored at 87mm from a forum member because i was thinking putting some CP Pistons on the engine. I think i m' gonna go higher in hp and try to go to 650hp. My question is : do i need forged conrods or can i put OEM new one? it's simply a cost question. What max hp does the oem con rods goes to? what safe hp does the oem con rods goes to? thanks to all!
  20. the idle is good, In the high rpm i've got a good afr of 11-11.2 and throughout the rpm range i don' t see any probleme. In fact as soon as i get in open loop, i don't have any problem
  21. it's not possible to change the lag time with the mapecu i think
  22. all is ok on closed loop and before passing on large injectors all was ok!
