  1. so a stock could handle 550bhp perfectly and reliable without blowing anything ? so theres no need to spend all the extra cash.. Im gonna sound like a bloody NEWBEEE with this question but whats the differnce between a long block and a short block :)
  2. as far as ive been told yea. its finished.
  3. I got 19x355 tyres. they are amazing but the triple plate clutch and my love for racing on road and doing stupid maneuvers without thinking requires me to have TC cos I dont trust myself
  4. yea I cant afford to splash out on another turbo. I like the T88 it produces a F***kin punch when it does spool. The thing is buying a new block and getting that rebuilt is gonna cost TOOOO MUCH. I am on a budget, so for me the options are either buy used stock, buy new stock or buy old rebuilt I mean the cost of parts is fine, its the Labour costs that will murder me
  5. Hi guys. The supra I brought about 6 months ago apparently has traction control, its got this knob and switch that apparently is there to control the settings but nothing works, the guy told me that the rear abs sensors need replacing for this to start working, does that make sense? do you guys know anyone in london to check it out? winter is comming and its getting wet so I need TC
  6. Hi guys My supra needs an new engine as it seems theres compression loss and leak down, whats the best route to take, I got a decent setup with a T88 Turbo, I wanna get around 500-550bhp. Shall I get a semi used engine from ebay such as http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JDM-TOYOTA-SUPRA-2JZGTE-Engine-MANUAL-5-SPEED-swap-2JZ_W0QQitemZ260245419819QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item260245419819&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A3%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 or shall I go and get a HKS built engine such as http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Supra-engine-2JZGTE-heavily-modified_W0QQitemZ230306564479QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item230306564479&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A3%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 what do you think about getting engines from Ebay? are stock engines more reliable than a HKS built one, I want power and reliability, I know guys who spent a bombshell to get 600bhp but after 6 months their engine blows so I want it as reliable as possible. Is it maybe better to get a brand new short block from Toyota and get the head rebuilt. guys really need as much adivce as I can get on this, its such a big decision to make. cheers :)
  7. That does make a whole lot of sense. and cos I got some aftermarket exhaust system that explains the abnormal amount of heat. :) genius
  8. I dont know whats under.. ill get a pic sorted out today mate
  9. how can I check gearbox oil? I lifted the plastic panel off the centre console. the area is just covered with black tape. the previous owner must of done this.
  10. is there a way to lower the heat... is this heat a sign that I need to change the gearbox oil? how do I know if thats the case.
  11. Hi I have a 6 speed manual gearbox I have a quick shift gear stick thats made of metal (I think aliminium) the temperature thats comes up from the gearbox is immense. especially on motorway driving. the gear stick heats up stupidly and the bottom half of it is too hot to handle. is this normal?
  12. Hi guys I have an fcon pro that I need mapping. is there anyone in london you guys can recommend. I want a proper job done with someone that specialised in hks ecu's Also how long and how much does it usually take.? cheers guys
  13. :) dont u just hate it when u think theres something wrong with ur baby......
  14. thanks guys. I dunno what id do withought u :)
  15. so the flywheel has a mechanical popping/rattling noise under 2500 rpm... man supras r noisy. I already get soo much noise from the triple plate clutch I have. :) all good.
  16. wow thanks guys. that really helped me out. I was getting worried. jus another small question, whats the benifit of a light flywheel and how can I be sure that I have one without opening up all internals
  17. it doesnt go away when I press the clutch. I got a triple plate clutch so that makes its own noise when I press it. this noise comes only after i been driving for a while, u can feel it and hear it the most when the car is idling, in gear or out is the same.
  18. oh I got a 6 speed manual gearbox. its a 1993 j.spec turbo
  19. hi guys, I have this weird problem after ive been driving a while. maybe 15-20 mins (normal driving) on idle I start to hear this loud ringing/metallic clattering noise from what seems to be the gearbox, or something connected to the gearbox. it only comes after ive been driving and it comes and goes. but its worrying me also my gear shift lever is exposed and I get some crazy heat commin out the gear, I dunno if thats normal or not HELP!!
  20. I need to get my whole supra checked out for a maintanance check. make sure everything is running efficiantly, turbo, pistons, injectors, all engine. (single turbo conversion) also my electrics on my car are completely messed up. the whole car switches off when I switch on my headlights. lolll need to completely fix the electrics anyone in london you guys can recommend. ?
  21. lol sorry guys emm i jus bought the car. its got a single t88 turbo. i dunno what oils been used
  22. hi guys was out today driving my supra pretty hard after a while i noticed this rattling metal noise, i opened my bonnet and it sounded like it was comming from the block.. this noise got worse towards the end of the night im worried, did i fry something while using my boost hellppppp!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. how can I check, the engine doesnt turn on if the alarm is activated cos of the immobiliser, but when i deactivate it the engine starts and I can drive the car, just when i switch on the car lights or hazerd lights the engine turns off. whats a faulty stalk?
