auto gear box is not the same as in the turbo, but I do an engine swap which will cost £2000, n/a engine taken out and tt engine put in £1000 - £1500 plus labour, then i have to get ecu, front mount intercooler, fuel pump, total maybe over £5000, i get the whifbitz turbo kit which will have all that stuff included and cost £2700 because i am on comission, pay around £1500 - £2000 to have it fitted except for the ecu, but i will get a greddy e-manage, rather go for my option C.

it is an auto, but i have heard that it can handle the power very well.

ah dude i am not going to argue with you[GRIN][/GRIN], both got different oppinions, you trust this guy nic, i trust my mates at hyeline, not going to sell my car just to get a TT supra then go through all the stuff in getting the exhaust, air filter and wheels again, cost even more money, would rather get the turbo kit get 380 or 400bhp and i will be happy with that, i dont want to have a 1000bhp supra, as cool as that sounds but totally un-practical for me, plus i will live longer;).

was delimeted when i got it and drove it cardiff from swansea, supposed to top out at 110-115mph, kept going to 140mph. i rather get the turbo kit, really like my car and have done quite abit to it, she was my road to recovery so to speak, taking an engine out cost more than installing the turbo kit itself

the superchip was for a toyota celica gt4, but it was moddified and installed into my supra, dont know how, but hyeline performance managed to do it, and the afc neo does help, well it does for me.

i have heard about the cams, was going get the jun-cams, but decided to save for the whifbitz turbo kit for the n/a supra which will give approx 380bhp.

I got a modded 1993 N/A Supra mk4, now technically i stick an unrestricted exhaust, completelly de-catted, with downpipe and a set of front pipes, AFC Neo and an apexi power airfilter, plus a super chip that has been modified, technically from a 225bhp standard engine i should be producing around maybe 30bhp extra, so on paper i should be producing 255bhp, but there are people who say that i am only producing 220 to 230bhp???

Hiya all just want to understand some stuff here, why is it that when i see specs for TT Supra producing 320bhp standard and the N/A Supra producing 225bhp standard, people are saying that the cars are not producing that bhp:search: and they are actually producing 40bhp less than it shows, does that mean that all cars are producing 40bhp less than it says on paper????

If it is in october then i should be alright for that, by that time i will have the whifbitz turbo kit for the n/a and running 400bhp, should have my bomex bodykit fitted before that to, will take the day off work for that track day, will be fun :-)

Will be honest i am not a fan of NOS, NOS does look good to have in a car, but i would have to say that unless you want to blow the engine sky high forget about it, for NOS i always say "its not real power if you dont have it all the time" plus you have to pay for refill, most power out of a N/A you probably can get with a decant setup is around 230bhp, 240bhp if lucky with uprated cam, that sounds pretty good, mine is estimated around 230bhp and runs well, but if you want to hit the 400 - 500bhp barrier with a n/a, better off adding a turbo kit for the n/a from whiffbitz or engine conversion, rather do that than wreck the engine with nos.

i am only doing it with mine for 2 reason, 1) she has a really good setup and goes well for a n/a:D and 2) because the next time i go back she will have the turbo kitt from whiffbitz and running 400bhp:D.

hiya all just wondering if anyone is planning on going to the japshow at santa pod next month, i am planning on entering my n/a supra to see how she does with her current setup, then i will be going again for the finale when she has her turbo kit installed , went to last years JAPSHOW at the start of the year with my FTO got into the high 13's with her [GRIN][/GRIN], hopefully would be near that with my supra and its current setup .

i am 28, i am a really good driver, 7 years no claims,no problems and i agree what i did was wrong a should not be done on public roads, should have known better,and should only be done on track but i know people have done the same thing, and to say they did not...well i dont know, but i am seriously re-evaluating my attitude when driving, time to hit the health club and chill out i think, stress what a concept ;-)

i should take that idea and use it, puts me less at risk, and pisses them off.

i am not saying what i did was right, i do have a bad temper and just want to get home from hard days work.

believe me from the start of the pub to nearly the top of cruis road with no traffic, was crazy but can be done.

its just my estimate from what i done to her, hyeline performance set her up really well for me and it goes like hell, i am in the middle of getting the turbo kit from whiffbitz right now.

Hiya all joseph here from llanishen cardiff, i drive a modded 1993 toyota supra n/a auto, estimated 230 - 240bhp. I would rather talk about supra's and modding them but i really have to get this of my chest cos it plain pisses me off, this is a serious matter. Now i am guessing allot of you supra owners had a similar experience as i did, here is the story: Friday morning at around 1pm i left my family restaurant near the globe centre in albany road, going up cruis road and had some retard in a vectra up my ass,i ahte people driving close to me so i boot it right up to the top of the road doing nearly 100mph with him looking like a dot in my mirror, i slow down for the bumps at the top of the road.... suddenly i hear a skid, and i see the same asshole inches away from hitting my back end, i start shaking my head and keep going with him still up my ass, so i boot it again leaving the retard for dust doing nearly 80mph coming upto the first round about near roath park lake just before the bridge, i slow down again and he starts to accelerate up my ass,why he did not give up i dont know. so i boot it again leaving him for dust a 3rd time in a row doing 80mph near the roath park lake then i start to slow down for the bends because i dont want to lose the back end, and guess what as soon as i slow down, here comes the retard, but he tries to over take me, so i block him from going past as soon as i go back to the correct side of the road he goes to overtake a second time by this time he is revving really hard and is alongside my car on the wrong side of the road, so i start to accelerate and he still could not pass me, he turned off once we reached the roundabout near cardiff high. have any of you had this problem having some idiot in a piece of shit car actually believe that he has a hope in hell of beating you? a supra or any jap sports car, i had the same trouble in my FTO before i got the supra and still there are people who have to learn the hard way.

yeah will there, oh i am planning on having a powerhouse turbo kit fitted to my car in 2 months or less, should have 400bhp:d, then the tuning stops, 400bhp is fast enough for me:eyebrows: Look out for a red supra, with the number plate Saying J666EPH, will be looking around taking pictures, hope its a big crowd of jap cars there.

i will be there then mate, just tell me what time and i will drop down on monday the 5th of may.

thanks mate all this information of you all you guys is great, all of you have shown great respect to me and intellect, much better than the supraforums site from the u.s.a, they were complete jelous and took the piss from every angle, really happy i joined this supra owners club, and to meet all of you lot would be a great honour, that powerhouse turbo kit looks more down my way and at 380bhp i would be happy with that power.

thats a complete engine swap, 4k is for the engine and conponents to produce 400bhp i understand, how much is it to have it all done? i can have my mate at Hyeline Performance do it, but they ain't going to do it free. what about just bolting the turbo onto the engine using a turbo kit designed for the 2JZ-GE N/A supra, and get 400bhp from that.

see now that the kind of thing i want to be hearing, if was to save money and get the TT at around 8 - 10k i would have to start all over again with exhaust pipes decats and air filters, end spending more on the TT like 15k, thinking about it now and hearing from people who had the same experience as me, i am starting to sway in keeping my car.
