  1. Glad to hear the info's been of use to you Nito, trust me the difference really is very noticable and should cure all the problems you mention.
  2. I recently had Chris Wilson fit a set of his own custom suspension components (shocks, spings and geometry set up to match) to my car and having now driven the car for a few hundred miles since the work was carried out here's my report on it. The car now sits nicely lower giving it a more aggresive look without any problems of tyres rubbing on arches (have heard of several people complaining about this after other set ups / instalations). My HKS Super Dragger only ever scrapes on stupidly high speed bumps and even then only very lightly, as has been said on other posts on this board Chris really does do a good job of tucking the pipe away. With regards to the ride / handling of the car I really can't praise this set up enough. It has made a massive difference not only to cornering with far less body roll and a nice and firm progesive ride giving much better feed back (resulting in higher cornering speeds), but also to both braking and acceleration with much higher levels of traction availabe both on entry and exiting corners. £1200 may seem like alot of money to spend on suspension when compared to the prices of some of the other kit available but when you take into consideration the cost and quality of all these components individually + Chris's time ( shocks, re-valving, springs, fitting and a full goemety set up) it's actually excellent value for money. My cars ABS and traction control used to be working overtime before this set up yet now they rarely make an appearence. To give you an idea as to how good it is last week I was able to keep up with a new style Lotus Elise on a wet and twisty (yet fast) country road even out braking him to make a pass. I've recently spent alot of hard earned cash on my car ( Hybrids, Exhaust, Full De-cat, H-Duty Clutch / Flywheel, Road/Race Pads/Discs/Braided Hoses Suspension) and can honestly say if you've got the money get the suspension 1st, A to B your car will be a lot quicker / more fun to drive than with any other singe uprade. RECOMENDED. P.S a special thanks goes out to Chris himself for the all work he carried out on the car despite not being in the best of health at the time, cheers mate.
  3. Hell fire Alex !, and I thought I had problems with my heater !. Just to update things I'm going to be flushing out my matrix tonight with rad flush. I'll let people know how it goes.
  4. Typical, within two days of the temprature droping to something more akin to that of the antartic my heater decides to all but pack in. I know the cars had radweld in it at some point and suspect some sort of partial blockage most likely in the matrix as there is a slight amount of heat coming through into the car and only one of the pipes coming to the matrix is hot (the other's luke warm). Having read the nightmare story of John Beckwiths regarding swapping his matrix (15-20 hrs !!), does anyone know of an easy way / product to flush mine clean ?.:flame Dev (how I want to feel again !).
  5. I did have a slight amount of noise coming from the front suspension which seems to have gone now.
  6. Hi there Damar, I've just had Chris Wilsons suspension set up fitted to my car and can highly recomend it. 7. Sorry I forgot (doh) to put any details on the post. The car's down at Chris Wilsons having all sorts of mods/up grades done to it at the moment and that was just one of the things which needed sorting. He used a company which he's used for them before and says hes never had any bother with them, I'll get the name of them next time I speak to him and post them on here.
  8. Yeah sounds like your starter's sticking, mine was doing the same every now and again at first and gradually getting more frequent ant taking more attempts to actually get it started. Have just had it re-furbed for aprox 170 quid, new they're arond 280+ vat.
  9. Please don't take this the wrong way but might it not be a better idea to put it on after winter when there's no salt on the roads (I also live in Leeds and you'd think Leeds city council had shares in saxo) and when you'll get better gains from it as the weather gets warmer.

    Lexus Wheels

Assuming you're talking about the 9 spoke 18" wheels as per Lexus GS300 sport then yes these are q a popular fitment, however I've been trying to get hold of a second hand set for about 4 months now to no avail. New they around £1600 and yes they are the correct offset (something overlooked by many people when fitting wheels), as for tyre sizes I'm not sure but the widths are the same as stock supras so you should have plenty of choice. Try JIC as i think they can get them.
  11. Hmmm, not sure about the part numbers but the prices seem a bit low to me, last time I checked thy were about £80 +vat ea !. If you can get them for the prices you quoted then let people on here know and i recon Toyota will be cleaned uot of them in a matter of hours !.
  12. Ah I see, where do you get the L.E.Ds from please ?
  13. The hi-level rear light (below spoiler) has never lit up on mine in 5yrs of ownership yet has passed 5 M.O.Ts with no query on it. Going by Darbys comments I take it it's supposed to, hmmm. Can any one shine any (prefarebly hi-level) light on the spec of this on a U.K TT ?.
  14. Nice one thanks v much, they really do look alot better + at least mine will be sealed properly after.
  15. Sorry I forgot to ask at first but what glue do you use to put them back together ?
  16. Thanks for that, I'll be trying it in a few weeks time.
  17. Nice one Adam they look great. One of my rear lights sometimes gets a small amount of condensation in it so iI was going to have to refurb it soon but will now alo be painting it having seen yours. The pictures are quite self explanatory but could you please give details as to how long/what temo they go in the :flame Dev oven:flame Dev for. Cheers.
  18. If you can wait a few weeks I hope to be getting a full Chris Wilson set up and wiil have a pair of KYB shocks (4000 miles use) going v cheap.
  19. i agree with adi, Giles not only seem to know his stuff (which is reassuring with these kind of things) but is also helpful and enthusiastic whilst remaining realistic about the kind of gains you will get. Recomended.
  20. My turbos recently gave in on me, heavy smoking and drinking oil (the car not me ). I half considered getting rid but then decided to keep the car and spend some cash on it for once. The turbos are currently at Turbo Technics (going for hybrids) and I expect to get them back for the end of the week, they seem to know what they're on about down there and give a 24 month warrenty on their work. As Branners quite rightly pointed out going to hybrids will by their very nature increase lag however I will also be having a full de-cat ( CW down pipe & HKS Super Dragger ) which should reduce lag again.
